Valerian
Up until now I have avoided all expansions. Being perfectly content to play "normal" 40K, I just haven't thought it worth the effort to pay the extra money, learn the extra rules, or build the expansion specific terrain. However, after looking at all of my models, and playing with army lists again, I think I need to check out Apocolypse. I've got over 3k of painted Space Wolves and I just can't stand leaving any of them out of a battle. I don't play often enough to just rotate units in and out, so I think I'll have to play Apocolypse, even though i am not interested in flyers, titans, or superheavy tanks. Warhorse47
I have no FW stuff or super heavies and still have a ball with Apoc games. Good luck and enjoy! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/198602-apocolypse/#findComment-2365983 Share on other sites
NuclearMessiah
Apoc is fun. I once played in a SM x 3 vs Chaos (traitor IG, CSM, Daemons), Eldar, Tau, and Necrons game that encompassed an entire living room floor. Darq Hunter
You can totally play Apoc without any of the super heavies. A lot of the guys at my LGS don't! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/198602-apocolypse/#findComment-2366566 Share on other sites
Wolf Guard Nostromo
Neither myself nor any of my gaming group have a super heavy, though we often talk about getting some, and still enjoy apocalypse greatly - I really think having 2-5k of troops each and then fighting with 1 or more allies is a great way of enjoying and expanding 40k - its great fun, just don't take it too seriously  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/198602-apocolypse/#findComment-2366607 Share on other sites
Commander Sasha
My 11yr old lads and I play a multiplayer apoc battle every school holidays; monday will be me, 9 kids, 1,000points each. 1 lego baneblade, and a Tyrannosaurus rex proxying as Old One Eye! I play purely for socialising, Apoc means team huddles, strategy arguments and high five-ing! Hfran Morkai
1 lego baneblade I play purely for socialising, Apoc means team huddles, strategy arguments and high five-ing! Please tell me there will be pictures of this divine tank made from the holiest of building materials. You forgot an opportunity to order pizza/take out of your choice. And I'm glad you're capable of having a huge battle with the younger ones, the single Apoc battle I played with the Pups resulted in them getting bored and leaving :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/198602-apocolypse/#findComment-2366741 Share on other sites
