Brother Captain
Another mini for my BA succesor chapter. It was an enjoyable mini except for the part where I had to paint his eye. Painting eyes on 28mm miniatures is not my idea of fun I guess. :) Pics: http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Storm%20Ghosts%20Marines/Librarian/IMG_0013.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Storm%20Ghosts%20Marines/Librarian/IMG_0018.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Storm%20Ghosts%20Marines/Librarian/IMG_0020.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Storm%20Ghosts%20Marines/Librarian/IMG_0012.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Storm%20Ghosts%20Marines/Librarian/IMG_0015.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i243/Brother_Captain/Storm%20Ghosts%20Marines/Librarian/IMG_0016.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/198765-jump-pack-librarian/ Share on other sites

skyst
He looks great. The blue is very even and you have a good eye for spacing color, like the gold. It keeps my attention spread to the entire model, I like it. Brother Captain
Thanks for your kind words. :) @skyst: Colour choice and spacing can make or break a model. I spend quite some time looking at painted minis in CMON or WD. I'm still not very confident about it but I'm glad it worked out well in this mini. Monstra Sumus
Looking spiffy my friend. I'm loving the attention to detail upon his face. The only thing bugging me is the plasma coils on his pistol being painted the same colour as the gun itself. Its just a personal preferance, mine are all stupidly bright green, looking like they are about to puke boiling atomic death at people. It just makes the weapon pop more in my opinion. I'd have to agree with you on the plasma coils. I usually paint them a glowing green or blue colour but at this mini I couldn't justify it as he doesn't seem to be ready to fire the plasms pistol. Well that and also the fact that I wanted to draw the focus on the axe. Fear not though. Glowing plasma coils of doom will surely appear on some other mini on the near future. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/198765-jump-pack-librarian/#findComment-2369118 Share on other sites
