OI! I was just thinking about ways to protect my long fangs when I remembered the chooser of the slain. Now my question is; does the chooser still cofer the 18" restriction when it comes to models with the infiltrate rule choosing to outflank? Thanks answers are much appreciated.

its arguable by both sides , look at the Rule book when it says reserve , pg94 "once all the units has been rolled for (reserve rolls), the player picks any one of its units arriving and deploys it, moving it onto the table as described later (then the rulebook talks about coming from reserve and outflank)" , then look at pg 36 of the SW dex " units may not use thier infiltrate rule to deploy within blah blah"

now the point of argument is obvious , out flanking is a form of deployment gained from infiltrate (infiltrating units are also considered deployed at start of game)

by this logic , units that only have Infiltrate rule (no scout rule) and chooses to outflank may not outflank within 18 inches of the chooser

BUT

The other side of the argument then says , outflank is a rule of its own (which i agree) thats "triggered" by Infiltrate / scout , and this when the chooser rule says may not use thier infiltrate rule to deploy, it does not cover outflank

So to me the chooser can not block the outflank (although fluff wise plausible) , and for the good sportsmanship you'd probably shouldn't even think about it XD

cheers
