Dawn of War rules

I was playing a 1000 point DoW game against my bro-in-law that plays Orks and had some issues come up.

1) The deployment rules for DoW state that either side my have a HQ and 2 troops selections to start out. I already have my HQ and Gray Hunters in a Rhino before the game was determined what to be. So does that mean I delay my drop pod till turn 2 or do I have to take my drop pod despite the rules?

2) When bringing in reserves, is there a minimum distance you must deploy your forces from the enemy even if they are in you deployment zone?

Thank ahead of time for any answers.

#1. You can only deploy 2 troops and one HQ durign the deployment phase. Drop pods are automatically in reserve and arrive starting on turn 1. SO no, you cannot delay your drop pod. If you have only one it will always arrive on turn 1.

#2. The only requirement for units that arrive from reserve is they must stay at least on inch away from the enemy. But this is true for all units except in an assault.
