Walter Payton
Ah but of course, it all makes sense now. Think about it, such an act would require treason, treason requires duplicity, duplicity is an arrogant act, the arrogant laugh, what laughs frequently? Hyenas! And hyenas are mammals that live in Africa, just like--bats! And who uses bat iconography, why none other than the traitorous Night Lords, and the Night Lords first created Raptors, that---fly! Just like Angels, angels that thirst for---blood! For the blood god no doubt, therefore the Blood Angels are heretics. Quod Erat Demonstrandum Very Good. Reminds me of that South Park episode where it transpires earth is merely a colossal reality TV show... Leebe
And to cover it all up, Sanguinius went number two in the urinal, placing the blame on Kyle! It all makes sense! Midwest
Maybe Sang was jealous, and when he found Horus, Sang kill him VERY much. The chaos gods, then took Sang as their chosen. Big E arrives and see the change in Sanguinius, more, saw the psymelted body of Horus and goes berserk. But Sangy was too strong. A long fight, that shook the foundations of the universe took place. Finally the Emp wins but at great cost. Exactly! This is an enigma inside a mirror wrapped inside a puzzle!! That is actually quite plausible, but as another poster above said, the Emp was able to speak for a while after being put on the throne. Why didn't he say, "Oh by the way, Sanguinus betrayed me."? Because Guilliman was too busy forcing over the keys to the Imperium - a veritable "sign the papers, old man, or its the Shady Maelstrom Retirement Throne for you!" moment. The conspiracy may indeed reach multiple areas and levels of the Imperium! Yup, there is a difference, Blood Angels are even more staunch worshippers of the blood... thats why death company are bezerkers with feel no pain... they are extra crazy... or they secretly worship nurgle as well. I'm not sure yet  . You may be on to something - seems odd doesn't it that the BA emphasize aspects of all four Ruinous Powers? Khorne: Blood-themed armour and iconography, taste for close combat, tendency to unrestrained rage. Nurgle: Can effectively become immune or indifferent to wounds that would slay 'normal' Marines, let alone mortals. View "Papa" Sanguinius as a father to love, not a master to follow. Becoming a Blood Angel offers 'salvation' from the ravaging "disease" (radiation) of their planet, by sparing them living their entire life on it as well as the rejuvenating/curative aspects their induction rites have on existing deformities and tumors. Slaanesh: Noted vanity and drive for perfection, tendency towards non-codex length hair styles. Specialized ranged firepower unavailable to their brother legions. Tzeentch: New codex states they have more Librarians than the typical Chapter. They have Librarian Dreads, for Emprah's sakes! Plus, one of their 'successor' chapters is named the "Angels Sanguine", a very duplicitous, Tzeentchy way of using the same name twice (possibly indicating flouting of Codex law by hiding half the Chapter as a "successor" chapter!). Was Sanguinius promised the same all-encompassing pact that Horus received from the four Chaos gods? Do the BA in Chapter represent what Horus (and now Abaddon) have been gifted individually - that is, all four mark of the major gods of Chaos?!! Legatus
You may be on to something - seems odd doesn't it that the BA emphasize aspects of all four Ruinous Powers? That certainly would be odd. B) Nurgle: Can effectively become immune or indifferent to wounds that would slay 'normal' Marines, let alone mortals. That too is a khornate feature (that's what the term "Berserker" originally means, which is why Khorne units had increased armour in 2nd Edition and the FnP save in the 3.5 Codex, only the 4th Edition Codex gave FnP to Nurgle instead). Becoming a Blood Angel offers 'salvation' from the ravaging "disease" (radiation) of their planet, by sparing them living their entire life on it as well as the rejuvenating/curative aspects their induction rites have on existing deformities and tumors. That is like the opposite of Nurgle. Slaanesh: Noted vanity and drive for perfection I am pretty sure striving to adhere to the Codex Astartes is not usually attributed to tendencies towards slaanesh worship. tendency towards non-codex length hair styles. Like Space Wolves? Specialized ranged firepower unavailable to their brother legions. Because specialised ranged weapons are totally slaaneshi. Tzeentch: New codex states they have more Librarians than the typical Chapter. Only marginally so, and still described as incredible rare amongs the battle brothers. They are not the Chapter with shamanic sorcery. Plus, one of their 'successor' chapters is named the "Angels Sanguine", a very duplicitous, Tzeentchy way of using the same name twice Now that was completely random... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/198879-sanguinius-did-it/page/3/#findComment-2386709 Share on other sites
Tutteman
Or maybe...just maybe...horus did it? So now Guliman is in on it. Dorn is in on it. Legatus
The "traitor" Primarchs are the real good guys, misunderstood and betrayed by the Emperor. The "loyal" Primarchs are all selfish bastards who only tried to improve their own position. GW just does not want to outright tell you, so that only the smart kids will get it. lee265
At first i thought this was a ridiculas topic but it gave me good laughs. Then when the only reason that it wasn't plausible was the question why didn't Emperor Bob say anything if Sanguinius did it? Simple information withholding because thats what Emperor Bob is best at. Could be he felt the marines were still loyal, could be some plan he had we don't know about. Spareknikov
All we need now is a scrawny git with a bow tie jumping out of a large blue box (which appeared like an apparition with the sound of a key being slid across a piano string) on Horus' ship's bridge. Legatus
But since the laws of time do not apply to matters concerning the warp he might be out of his area of expertise. Spareknikov
He could probably still travel to the material plane. Ravenor managed it, so I'm sure this - for arguments sake let's call him a Time Lord - could also manage it. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/198879-sanguinius-did-it/page/3/#findComment-2389543 Share on other sites
Legatus
It is not so much the travelling that would probably be a concern. More the warp based adversaries he would be up against. LoneSniperSG
But seriously, several Legions show genetic taint, including the Space Wolves and T-Sons.
