Hi all, I am starting a new luna wolf army and i was woundering if you had any ideas how to start it.

 

I will also use this topic to ask other questions about my army i.e what to buy next or how should i convert something.

Hey Charlie/ultramarine of death!

 

First off, start your army like you would start any SM army - get yourself a box or two of tactical marines!

The Luna Wolves used the power armour marks II-IV, I think there are enough tutorials flying around the website for you to do a decent job in rendering the correct armour. The Red Scorpions pack from Forge World, the Black Templars sprue and the new Blood Angels have a lot of MkIV armour bits, so I'd look there if I were you (easiest but also most expensive way is to get the Red Scorpions).

Equip the Wolves as you would equip any marine squad, just leave out any meltas (weren't around much during the Heresy).

 

Concerning the colour scheme:

Luna Wolves is quite simple - "pearl white" with a black trim. If I were you, use skull white with just a little grey mixed in.

 

You might want to use some Space Wolf bits to render the Luna Wolves a little "wolfy" - an odd Wolf pelt here or there, for example.

personally i would start with the battleforce. it's a great deal. but i feel Ufthak has covered the rest. pearl white :D

 

have fun collecting them, i would love to, but i don't know if i will. i've have to decide a new army to collect.

Thanks for that i think the will convert the heads myself, i would like them to look like the ones of the front of false gods.

Many people have tried to do those :) I think your best bet is using the Khorne Berserker helmets and trimming the "ears" (Linky - the guy on the right)
