Gamelli Streamfisher
Hello, I was wondering what Pre-Heresy Salamanders looked like. I have seen material on the Lexicanum implying that they look like this. http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/mediawiki/images/4/43/SalamandersOld.jpg I have some old 2nd edition models that are painted like this and I was curious if this was official. Rev. Tiberius Jackhammer
I think the deal is that their color scheme pre-heresy was identical to their current scheme. That older, more salamander-like paintjob was their color scheme in rogue-trader days, but has since been retconned (such as how dark angels used to have power-armored deathwing etc). Gamelli Streamfisher
Let me make sure I understand. The picture I linked showed how people used to paint the models, but fluff-wise, Salamanders always have been green. Is that it? I was kind of thinking about painting up some more models like that. Ignatius
This is their Badab war livery, their pre heresy scheme was all green (no black pads) and the green was slightly lighter (new Fluff) or Dark green (old fluff).
