CainTheHunter
I've used Marauder Horsemen bits to great success. Heads, hands, axes, shields - they are great if You know what You are doing and do some planning before. I also used some bits of Catachan imperial guard. They can serve for wolf scouts. blood claws, occasional grey hunter and as storm shields or transport decorations - they add some additional savagery... I did some for the Librarium Painting Challenge here but I was planning in advance and had a great inspiration from one of the members of this forum Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/199196-just-starting-space-wolves/page/2/#findComment-2374691 Share on other sites
Gladius30
Is there a difference between the Marauder infantry bits and the Marauder Horseman bits? Grey Mage
Price, horses, weapons.... IIRC the Horsemen give you fewer heads for fewer $$$ but theres more of them that are good for conversions. Frankly though Id work with the SW boxes first, and only if you feel you need some more versatility or are somehow unsatisfied with the 30+ heads in that box that you go to the fantasy line. Valerian
As for termies - they come from which set and what weapons they have? Maybe You will still need that WG box later for wolf claws, chainfists and heavy staff. The Termies are from the Space Hulk set and I got them for free. Those are extremely sought after by Blood Angels players. Honestly, I'd look at selling/trading those to a BA player (who will pay a premium, especially since Space Hulk was limited release, and they just got a new codex which means everybody is collecting them now and can't get a hold of them). Look at eBay to see how much they are going for. Then you can use the big bucks you make to buy yourself the Space Wolves Terminator Boxed set and/or the ForgeWorld Space Wolves Terminator upgrade set. Gladius30
Do you think the Space Hulk Termies will raise in value or lower in value, over time? Another thing regarding the Space Hulk terminators. It looks like I can get around $50 on ebay at the moment for them. But that is 11 terminators sold and only 5 in. So are the 6 extra terminators going to worth the extra hassle? (I don't plan on touching the models until probably a year or so anyways) Also, is there a good guide for painting Space Wolves? And lastly, what are some good base styles for Space Wolves? -- Gladius Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/199196-just-starting-space-wolves/page/2/#findComment-2375254 Share on other sites
