Chain axes

Greetings brothers-Wolf,

In C:SW on pages 18 and 24, there are pictures of SW with Chain axes. I love them and have my Templars with some (a kind of consolation for not doing a pre Heresy WE force)

Have you modelled any of your guys with them?

yes, i have them in a blood claw squad. every one of them have one actually.

they look fearsome. (they also use the berzerker running legs)

WLK

Once I (eventually) start re-doing my 13th to regular Wolves, my Lone Wolves will effectively be Wulfen with MASSIVE chain-axe-hammers. I'm talking, like, an inch to two inch chain-axes with a huge hammer on the other side. I'm probably also going to spatter them through the rest of my squads as well.

Chainaxes are awesome.

IL Bane Just a word of advice If you want them to be stronger remove the handle shafts and drill the heads and replace them with Brass rod or something similar since the resin axes look cool but are weak in the handles, the Beserker Axes Ive never had a problem with with strength and look fine and can normally be picked up cheap.

Heh Flash that is useful for something I would say I do recomend what I said but if you can't (either lack of ability or tools or whatever) I have to say be Very careful when their in transit Nothings worse than showing up for a game to find your mini's weaponless

And Emperor's Scourge I'll apoligize for the harshness in the forum of Baals children

Thanks buddy, I'm thinking with the flimsiness of these axes beyond doubt, sculpting green stuff over the handles to make them a bit thicker. I've ordered 2 sets from Forgeworld to complement my 2 boxes of Wolf Pack- making Grey Hunters armed with chainaxes. This will begin my new Great Company very nicely!

Looks pretty good ;)

With your photography, if you are able to take a closer picture to fill your view, it will be easier to see. Digital cameras have a macro function, usually a flower symbol. Use that and it allows close up focus.

I hope that was helpful ^_^
