Eberious
Hello, been a while since I done any work on my BT army, made this Dread about a year and a half ago and only painted it up the weekend before the blood angels release. Painted it to reflect a Thunder-hammer weilding Terminator sword bretheren hero, Brother Vignus. Not in any GW fluff, but in my own world. And as I type this I have just relised I have done somthing :P stupid...like forget to include the "n" in his name on the lass-cannon banner and the sarcophagus plate scroll... :o . MAJOR DOH!!!!(holds face in hand), will do for now, just picture it corrected. http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk270/Eberious_2008/DSC05973.jpg http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk270/Eberious_2008/DSC05974.jpg http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk270/Eberious_2008/DSC05975.jpg http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk270/Eberious_2008/DSC05976.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/199439-bt-dread/ Share on other sites
Smirnov
Nice dread! But legs look a bit chicken-like... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/199439-bt-dread/#findComment-2375516 Share on other sites
marine77
I like it. The legs provide more of a dynamic pose. There is more movement to the model, though it does give me the feeling that it would walk more like an imperial walker on Endor! BigDunc
I'm not sold on the legs, but I'm sold on your painting ability! Nice job. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/199439-bt-dread/#findComment-2375597 Share on other sites
Rojo Grande41788
Amazing job with the dreads customization and painting. I do like the use of sentinel legs on the dread. Makes him look like he's ready to go head long and crush some Daemon heads with that nasty hammer arm. fusilero
I like the more.. action pose, but it just looks like it's going to fall over on that leg. Great painting as well! Brother_Cowboy
Brilliant. Consider the idea stolen. A couple questions, Whats the hammer made from? it looks boss, and those chains. Sculpted? But, yeah. Has an awesome battle-tech feel to it and screams 'Templar' to me. Drac0
the hammer seems made of 4 thunder hammers heads. 2 glued side by side and the other 2 glued on top of them. Eberious
the hammer seems made of 4 thunder hammers heads. 2 glued side by side and the other 2 glued on top of them. Thanks all very much, and yup just 4 TH heads stuck together and used the handle parts to attach it to the dread arm, the chains are hobby chains for making those scale replicas of model ships. Deus Mortem
I like it, consider it stolen! (if you don't mind of course  ) Looks like it could get in your face way faster than the normal stumps it drags its feet with. Kinda has a preheresy feel to it, but thats just me. Eberious
Thanks all, been asked for some more shots of the legs and just relised I didn't take one extra shot. Will say I didnt take to much time painting the inside. http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk270/Eberious_2008/DSC06040.jpg And the legs for those who requested it from me.. Here you can see where I cut the IG sent legs to fit directly on the the Dread hips. http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk270/Eberious_2008/DSC06038.jpg Left the tubes on the dread grion area then positioned the IG sent legs to line up with the tubes, be careful when cutting the tubes in the grion section as those little buggers tend to snap easy. Also stuck on the front are some armour plates, used from the top parts of the SM jumppacks. http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk270/Eberious_2008/DSC06039.jpg Thanks for your intrest.
