Inquisitor Lord "Mother War"

Recommended Posts

Counts as Witch Hunter's Inquisitor Lord.

Sadly I can not claim this to be my work. It was a commissioned piece by a fantastic sculptor and painter.

The design is from the "Mother War" character in the music video for My Chemical Romance's "Welcome to the Black Parade". (Around 2:41 in on this video)

I love the dehumanisation caused by the gas mask fused with the partially archaic feminine features. It speaks of tragedy, of horror, yet beauty.

Warning: Large Images.

"Are you my mommy?"

Sorry for the Dr. Who reference, gas mask and all that. That's an interesting idea for an inquisitor, though I'm a bit curious as to what her normal loadout would be. I can forsee some complaints about WYSIWYG from rules lawyers, but it looks wonderful to me, loving the dress.

This is where the fun can be had with Witch Hunters (and I think Daemon Hunters too)

Codex Witch Hunters, at the top of Page 20 ("Witch Hunters Armoury") includes the following phrase:

All wargear must be represented on the model. However, unlike with normal visual representation, it is permitted for an Inquisitor or Inquisitor Lord's Henchman to carry items of wargear for him; to all intents and purposes it is still part of the Inquisitor's wargear and is not destroyed if that Henchman is removed as a casualty.

My plans aren't completely solid, but I'm thinking alone the lines of fielding servo skulls (on a single base of course) carrying the required wargear. At this stage of thought, that will be an Inferno Pistol and a Power Weapon.

I know that this little gem will disappear when (if?) a new codex comes out. But I'll cross that bridge when I come to it

When I was.... a young boy... my father.... took me into the city.

I used to stand to attention whenever I heard this song.

That, sir, is an amazing conversion (applause to whoever did it). I really like. It's so... creepy. I think a more static pose would have fit your theme better, but still.
