Lestat Posted April 27, 2010 Share Posted April 27, 2010 Love the black and white look of Astoroth - after all, he is a Chaplain. The way you have painted him reminds me of Samurai armour. The red of the wings are really nice too. Sanguinor and Seth seem a little dark. It suits Seth fine, but maybe a few lighter highlights would help. Sanguinor is portrayed as a being of light, maybe a lighter shade of gold or even silver on the highlights would help. Nice, clean work so far! Skraal Posted April 29, 2010 Share Posted April 29, 2010 All three of them look great! I think Astorath in the black armour works much better than the 'flayed' look he's normally given. Less likely to get him confused with Mephiston too! As a Flesh Tearer at heart though i would have to say that i REALLY like the deep red you've managed to get on Chapter Master Gabriel Seth. Can i ask what your recipe is for it? The Sanguinor's eyes do look a little odd with them being red i think i would have done him with green eye lenses. I suppose it's just my perception of him but i don't see the Sanguinor as an angry character, which the red eyes make him seem IMO, whereas a green colour would have portrayed a more serene character. It's the colour I've been looking for for my Salamander skins (as it's different enough to set it apart from the purity seals, and yet is the perfect mid-tone for the model).
