Havoc WIP - is this too much?

I'm trying to get a Chaos force together to take with me when I move (the rest of my stuff is going into storage ^_^ ) and that force needs some HS. I wanted that HS to be Havocs, but because I'm not so flush with cash right now I thought I'd convert some out of normal CSMs and some of my IG bits.

This is kind of where I am with this idea, but I can't quite decide it this is way too OTT even for 40K, I've tried 2 different positions for the ACs in the shots, but that barrel still looks way too long. Should I go with it and be zany, or shorten it down a touch ?

I'm planning to cut the BP down and make it into the hand control for the AC.

I tried to make some Havocs with autocannons and attempted to make it look like the cannon was attached to the right backpack vent and braced by the Marine's arm. It turned out well. As now, I think it does look a little forward heavy.

I did the same thing and it came out alright. Use a long extended arm and have his hand holding it where that little piece sticks down. There isn't actually a trigger there, but it looks a lot better.

I also had a guy holding one like you would a bolter. I cut the barrel down, and I made it look similar to a brute shot off Halo only without the blade. He also ended up being my first Greenstuff mutation experiment and he became one with his weapon... which ended up looking even cooler and made me fall in love with GS, but thats another subject and I'm rambling.

Warsmith Morenze:

Thanks to MS Paint - a shorter barrel, I think this looks pretty good.

Yes I've been thinking about adding some sort of support mech on the backpack too, still organising my ideas on details though.

Emperor's Scourge:

See my post, it's going to be removed.

IronWinds:

Good points, I tried the outstretched arm, looks much better, I'm going to use those instead.

Fortnight:

Tried that first, just didn't really look right for this size of weapon.

Canadin:

Well that's good until you have to use a wobbly table, and then it's a real PITA keep standing figures back up.

Deffo not Slaaneshi, and no because I don't like competition from little plastic guys!
