Daemonhunters

Am learning the rules for DH in order to field Lord Coteaz (am doing so to use my Assassins) and am confused by the Banishment rule. Seems as though the daemon will need to roll a 10 w/2 or more hierophants, 11, or 12 on two of the three dice to be affective? Or is it cumulative with any other instability roll the Daemon might have to take at the end of the Assault phase?

Thanks for your feedback

Daemonic Instability doesnt come up a whole lot these days.

In fact, neither Chaos Space Marines summoned daemons nor C:Daemons have the instability rule anymore. This psychic power is fairly well useless.

For the record, what it meant was that your opponent, when losing close combat, had to roll 3d6 for a leadership test using the two highest numbers. Any time they rolled over their leadership value they took an unsavable wound, thus "banishing" the demon back to the warp.

A similar thing happens now because of no retreat wounds and all Daemons being fearless... but its still not an instability test.
