Razorback Box Set Options

In the Razorback Box Set, which weapons options do you get these days?

 

Is it still just TWL Heavy Bolter and TWL Lascannon or have they added Lascannon/ TWL Plasmagun

Nope no Las/Plas yet, just TLHB and TLLC.

Still a good value compared to a rhino though, and the TLLC is pretty easy to convert over into a Las/Plas.

i bought two rhinos to start with and it was obviously a real aste of time

Go to bitz barn if you need to make the assault cannon turret. They sell the LRC/LRR version for like 6.00 USD. As was mentioned, the Las/plas isn't too hard to convert. I don't really know how you'd go about heavy flamers. Probably have to go FW immolator, assuming that even comes with heavy flamers.

Makes sense to buy razorbacks over rhinos just for the extra bitz...

If you want the assault cannon razorback and happen to have Ravenwing bits sitting around (I did) you can use the assault cannons they supply for the speeder and basically just replace the barrels of the heavy bolter with the rotary part of the assault cannon. it look virtually identical (but a bit longer) to the plastic TLAC that comes with the LRC.

I think the las/plas is a throwback to the 2nd edition razorbacks. They had turrets like that at the time. They took the option out in 4th and I am sure they had a ton of complaints about suddenly unusable models. I know I was a sad panda because that was my favorite loadout and I spent alot of time orderign and hunting down those turrets.

This was a question that came up when I was making out a shopping list. I want to run 3 rhinos and 2 razorbacks. So ideally for the extra turrets I should just buy 5 razorbacks and then be able to field my 3 rhinos and have the extra parts for swapping out turret systems on my two razorbacks?

Yeh basically. Lets you setup a variety of turret options for use ont he Razorbacks, and also change how many Razorbacks vs Rhinos your running in your list.

The newish GW store in Vaughan has the BA Razorback set in the cabinet. It comes with the Las-Plas combo.

HAS to be a conversion, We did get some cool new things But a new razorback was not one of them.

same question , but about predators what gun options do you get with the standard kit ?

and do you get the rhino sides and top in the predator kit so you can make it interchangeable . ?

Its alot more difficult to make a predator readily interchangeable to a rhino and back, but yes.... all of the kits that look like they are based on rhinos ARE in fact based on rhinos.

 

And you get both turret and both sponson options, and a stormbolter, search light, smoke launchers, HK Missile, and a couple of other bitz.

I love their fluff explanation for it in C:SM though. "No one is certain what circumstances married such a devastating weapon loadout to such a fragile chassis."

 

Which is true. What's the purpose of it? Am I not mistaken that it's twin lascannons and a plasma cannon in the middle? That's a sheep of a lot of firepower.
