So I finally glued together my first models yesterday, they are waiting for paint now. I personally think they turned out pretty nice, I really like a couple of the poses. Let me know what you guys think.

gosh 60 some views and the only replies are from when the links didn't work? :D I figured someone would point out the fact that the guy with the pistol and bolter needs some green stuff in his left armpit by now.

The guy with the pistol and bolter needs some green stuff in his armpit. : P

The poses are nice and dynamic. I especially like the fella who needs the green stuff filling. On the other hand, legality-wise, the Vet can not have two bolt pistols.

Can't wait to see some paint.

I like 'em so far... Twin pistols has a nice (Cypher) feel to it :D.

Cheers

I

Yeah, first thing I thought was that would make a nice retinue for Cypher...

Like the poses. Very dynamic. Forget about the legality, for a cool looking model any decent opponent will make an exception.

Look forward to seeing them painted.

Very nice, dynamic poses. I think you'll need to do a little tidying up; I noticed some remnants of the plastic where you've clipped the components from the sprues - nothing a file won't sort out. Drilling out the barrels, whilst not essential, will also make them look nicer.

Looking forward to seeing them painted up!

Finished up another pose today. I am especially proud of this one. I really wanted a kneeling missile launcher marine, but I was afraid it wasn't going to turn out well. I think this one turned out really well :HQ: I also got the barrels of the other guys guns drilled out today. Plan is to get some paint on them this weekend.

Well got my first models painted up. I think they turned out pretty well. Went with the old DA color scheme, still need to put the red icons on the shoulders. And I plan on doing the crest on the Sergent's chest red, I also want to do some touch-ups on his robe. I still have a rhino to paint up, and I need to get a Ravenwing Attack Squad ordered for my next set of things to model and paint.

They are all headless because I am currently waiting on an order of Steam Knight heads to come in from MaxMini.

And please forgive me for the picture quality, I'm using my phone as my camera.

  • 2 weeks later...

Finally getting an update posted. I've since gotten some highlights done on the models. The grips on the bolters are now blue, along with the eyes on the helms. The MaxMini Steam Knight helms came in and they have been painted up and attached. I also hand painted the tac squad icons and old red Dark Angels icons on because the decals were pissing me off. Also got the first steps of some basing done. Let me know what you guys think. I'm really happy with how my first batch turned out. I am currently putting some raven wing bikers together, I am converting all of the bikes to choppers so its taking a little time. I'll get some pics up one I have them all glued. Also got Sammael's speeder glued together (got that thing doesn't fit together correctly), I want to fill in the gaps before I paint so that will probably happen after the bikers are glued.
