This is my latest bit of work, Whilst digging out stuff to sell I found the old artimas model from the Inquisiter game, I decided to wold him up with some banding on the legs and some wolf pelts and cloak, first time I have tried to gs fangs but the model is large enough, this guy will be finished before the week is up as I am making quick progress as its been quite enjoyable painting such a large mini after my grey hunter squad. The story is he has returned from serving in the DW so gets to keep his special issue bolter and gets to leave his left shoulder pad and arm with the silver colour of the DW

I like it a lot, especially the cape. Can you get some pics from the back next time you post. I'd like to see it better.

Also I'd like to know how you set the cape's form. Did you use some kind of support or a plasticine base? Keep it up I'd hope to see it finished. :D

@ Night Runner I set the cape by pinning wire into the bottom of the back pack and used it as a wire frame, this model is now nearly done. I will post pic of the cape by tommorrow when the whole thing should be finished.

I tried to give him wolf eyes by painting them yellow. I gave the face a glaze of red around the cheaks to give a rosy appearance,

Looking really good. Love the wolfy eyes! Not sure about the yellow bolter tough...

I know what you meen about the bolter being yellow but after years of not being able to paint yellow (damn GW paints) i invested in some valejo paints and suddenly i could paint yellow without having to put on a million layers so I consider myself lucky I did not paint his armour yellow.

here the shots of the cloak

Its nearly done now, Just need to slighly weather the legs with some mud and varnish it

I would recommend blending the colors on the cape a little more so the change isn't as stark. Really good model! I haven't seen any details of the etchings in his armor but you should paint it gold to look like runes or something so they fit with the model a little better.

I totaly understand that about the cape, Painting fur is definatly my weakness. Finally finished, mud affect done on legs and weathering on exhausts
