KYR GKIKAS Posted May 23, 2010 Author Share Posted May 23, 2010 But I wonder, why does one Marine have a split blcak/red helm and one have a solid yellow helm when the "average" is split yellow/black? I mean, the Serg being red/black makes sense, but the solid yellow is the real trouble to me. hmmm quite right ... But as i said earlier: Oh you mean that one ...Hehe erm.....well i painted the Veteran with the power fist as a first model.....the helmet is red/black and the backpack in reserve order laugh.gif ....i did some searching.....Oh damn the helmet must be yellow huh.gif , and the backpack in the right order happy.gif ok then no harm no foul .....i painted two more assault marines.....i did some more searching.....crap the helmet must be yellow/black.... laugh.gif i painted 3 more assault marines......i stopped searching (who knows what else i am going to find laugh.gif ).No i am not going to correct the mistakes cool.gif i like this little stupid story and it adds flavor to the army.... Thank you all for the comments and please allow me some fragments (no matter how large) of stupidity smile.gif PS:Please forgive my bad english (deep bow) its not my native language I hope it helps As for the Bases thats quite true...But i am waiting for the micro art bases i ordered and i will have to wait to recieve my order. And the magnetising of the backpacks inspired me to do that with my Shrike-Count as for my imperial Fists. <_< And I will most likely do so with my Bloodangels sqauds when I come around to do an army myself. I also painted a Librarian using the Sanguinary Guard kit.Please note that the fluff says that the Angels Sanguine shield their faces so i decided to paint the librarian with a mask.That will make all my characters to stand out from the rest of their breathren. Try mixing dwarf flesh with the red for the highlight on the sword. Then glaze down with baal red for a smoother finish. Dwarf flesh results in the color being less extreme. just a suggestion.
