Ive never played Dawn of War, but all the stuff in this thread makes the Space Wolves sound like they are traitors, not loyalists lol

Thats because who they fight in-game even if its against fellow brother chapters are considered traitors :blink:. Of course in real life thats not the case but this is an major RTS modification so its possible to play SW/13th vs <insert any of the major SM chapters>.

I can only see the Wolves having one brother sound an old horn to send them into battle. The talking takes place afterwards.

This is an RTS project.. they have to say something as its part of the mechanic of the game..

 

It would probably be easier just to give each army a few generic phrases to use and they'd use one when ordered to attack. "For Russ and the Emperor!" "The glory of Fenris!" "Kill the fools who dare stand against the Space Wolves!" and perhaps the odd classic like the second edition "Kill Kill Kill!"

 

Also 'Lion dogs' sounds lame, apart from the fact that space wolves like dogs, please don't use that.

Perhaps instead use "whelp of the Lion" it conveys the same idea.

 

For the Red Scorpions : "A little sting will never stop a wolf". Or "Crush them under paw like the insects they are named for"

id definatly agree that wolves would shout challenges and insults to enemies. seeing as they are based on norsemen, insulting your enemy before a fight was just as important as the fight! especialy in duels. there has been a few sagas saying that a opponent would sometimes back down from a duel out of sheer embaresment from not coming up with a retort or decent insult. cant really help you out looking for some though, im not a skald or poet in the slightest!
