Hey brothers.

Ive just taken up gaming with my girlfriend.

Shes playing the Witch Hunters (Emperor knows why! XD) Im doing Space Wolves myself

I own a pack of Grey Hunters.

7 with Bolters, Bolt Pistols and Close Combat Weapons.

1 with Plasma Gun.

1 with a Flamer,

and another, who isn't painted yet and im not sure to whether to do him as a Wolf Guard or not?

hes got a Bolt Pistol and a Power Sword, would it be worth doing him GH or WG?

I also bought a pack of Wolf Guard Terminators a while back before i knew about lists and weapons, so as a pack theyre abit of a hodge podge, so im not sure whether to use their mix match of weapons?

1 with Thunder Hammer and Storm Shield,

1 with Heavy Flamer and Chainfist,

2 with Storm Bolters and Power Fists,

1 with Power Sword and Storm Bolter,

Would you use them? or just keep them in reserve?

I want something I can play for around 500 points, i totted up the Grey Hunters this afternoon and its about 200 give or take

what would you guys recommend? i was thinking like a Wolf Lord or a Wolf Priest?

The Lord seems to have better stats and they both cost about the same, but the Priest has a few different special rules.

also, what could i use to fill up the extra 150-200 points?

thanks in advance!

Youll want that last GH as a GH so you can use both special weapons.

Youll also want another pack.... so you can field a legal army, and I would recommend a Rune Priest as a first HQ, but a Wolf Priest is also excellant- well equiped right out of the package, and very good at buffing one of your squads.

I always like using bloodclaws; they're pretty effective shock troops, even if they are a little down on WS and BS.

The GHs are the best "standard" unit in the game, though, and the more you can field, the better. Two full squads is a good foundation to build the rest of your army. I wouldn't worry too much about a WG for them, as they're pretty solid on their own. If you decide to use BCs the WG becomes necessary to reign them in, as they can get a little rambunctious.

Depending on what else you decide to field is how I would decide on an HQ. If you go with the GHs, the Rune Priest is the way to go. BCs would be awesome with a Wolf Priest b/c of his reroll ability. Either way, though, both are good HQ choices.

dont leave the fang without scouts and long fangs

personally would bother with TDA wolf guard or blood claws at so low numbers

any space marine army needs to be built around a core of grey hunters

im now painting up my 6th lot of ten and im not stopping till ive got 100
