Jarl Kjaran Coldheart
Hey all, i am just wondering if this would be legal: a unit of 5 Wolf GUard, where 4 of them are sent to either GH or LF Packs, and the fifth, Arjac, isnt assigned but instead rides down alone in a Drop Pod bought for the pack. would i be cheating in doing this, or is this legal? I cant seem to find anything against it, but want to hear if anybody might have caught something i missed. Jarl Kjaran Coldheart
well i was thinking of using him as a...i dont want to say throw away unit, but a good distraction to allow my WOlves to advance upon the enemy. The list i am thinking of also has 2 scout packs armed for carnage, so he wouldnt be alone long, just long enough to make a mark (or two) WLK Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/200046-wolf-guard-question/#findComment-2382719 Share on other sites

evilbeetles
I thought a drop pod could not transport TDA marines..... Oh well, if they can then I have misread my codex and have some new stratagies to plot. stinkenheim
only rhinos and razorbacks are unable to carry terminators because thy specifically say so in their rules. drop pods can carry tem, indeed its the only way for us to deepstrike termies Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/200046-wolf-guard-question/#findComment-2383143 Share on other sites
DV8
Just don't forget (like in Land Raiders) that Terminators take up 2 transport slots. So a Drop Pod can only hold 5 Terminator models maximum. WLK LOL I love the imagery but you are sacrificing one of Arjac's greatest abilities...the fact he is not an IC allows him to hide in units and avoid being targetted directly Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/200046-wolf-guard-question/#findComment-2384199 Share on other sites
Marshal Wilhelm
LOL I love the imagery but you are sacrificing one of Arjac's greatest abilities...the fact he is not an IC allows him to hide in units and avoid being targetted directly That is exactly what I was thinking. What makes Arjac so amazing and not just amazing is him being 'just' a Wolf Guard and squeezing the most out of whatever unit he is attached to. If you remember a few months back I did a comparo between Arjac and Lysander in a one on one scenario. Arjac hit a lot harder and yet with but 2w Lysander was able to outlast him. Add a unit to each of our hammer toting heroes and Arjac goes from being just shaded to outright winner....
