Deepstriking and combat squads

I've always thought it's pretty clear, but now I am not sure anymore. How do you roll reserves for combat squads?

 

 

One roll for the whole unit consisting of 2 5-men-squads.

 

-or-

 

One roll for each 5-men-combat-squad.

One roll for the whole unit. they are split into two combat squads at the moment they are deployed (placed on the board).

Man, it is good to see some reason on the internet. I spent almost 200 posts trying to get someone to understand this idea over at BoLS.
