Decoy
I think it worthy of special distinction to say that Page 23 of the 2nd Edition Space Wolves codex simply must be read by anyone capable. I have little else to say, really. Read it. It's worth your while. Decoy
Oh, aye, sorry Lord Rags. It's the entry for Bjorn the Fell-Handed. It describes his innermost feelings, how he believes Russ to be a true giant among men and how there's no giants left... His thoughts about the Wolves, his memory of his fallen comrades, everything that he'd ever been. It's truly a moving passage, and despite the potential ramifications of my stating so, I was moved to tears. A fictional writing about a fictional character brought a 6'4" Russian to tears. I don't know, I guess I just found it incredibly enlightening and profound. There's so much good, well-written fluff in the 2nd Edition codex, from Bjorn's bit to Ragnar's attendance at the funeral pyres of his fallen brethren. Sort of a meandering thought process, I guess. Legatus
The story I assume you are refering to is on page 16 in my 2nd Edition Codex Space Wolves. It is a neat insight into a venerable dreadnought in general, and into a Space Wolf in particular. Requiem of the Wolf
It is the spirit of the Space Wolves that really draws us in and makes us want to play. I can't think of a time when reading any of the codex's of the Space wolves I haven't felt a wide range of emotions. Though most often its maniacal giggling, especially with the 5th codex and Lukas.
