SnorriSnorrison
Hey PoS, your Wolflord came out really well, and I am not only saying this because it was my suggestion, but because your painting skills are really, really amazing. I thought your Golden Bolter entry was awesome, and so is your WL. :tu: And a nice red you have there, incredibly smooth! Mind if I ask for the receipt? Thanks! Pig Of Sparta
No bother S.Bloodhowl :P @ Snorri Snorrison: thanks mate. I'm not entirely sure they're amazing, but I like to think I'm showing improvement with every mini I paint now. The recipe for this red was adapted from one I saw in White Dwarf's "ask 'Eavy Metal" article a few months ago they used Fortress Grey which I don't have so here's my version of it: Basecoat Scab Red Wash recesses with 1:1 Chaos Black & Scab Red mix Wash recesses with 3:1 Chaos Black & Scab Red mix Starting from about 3:1 mix of Scab Red & Codex Grey blend the red areas up to 1:1 mix of Scab Red & Codex Grey then blend the highlights up to a 1:3 mix of Scab Red & Codex Grey To re-shade the recesses wash them with: 3:1 mix of Chaos Black and Snot Green then 1:1 mix of Chaos Black and Snot Green then with pure Snot Green Hope this helps thanks James Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/200238-wolf-lord-updated-photos-762010-almost-completed/page/2/#findComment-2413524 Share on other sites
Pig Of Sparta
Quick update of how the Wolf Lord is coming along: http://i347.photobucket.com/albums/p456/pigofsparta/Space%20Wolves%20Army/WLF1.jpghttp://i347.photobucket.com/albums/p456/pigofsparta/Space%20Wolves%20Army/WLF3.jpghttp://i347.photobucket.com/albums/p456/pigofsparta/Space%20Wolves%20Army/WLF2.jpg I'm also trying to think of what his title should be, currently I'm swinging towards Lord of the Forge but I'm open to suggestions thanks James Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/200238-wolf-lord-updated-photos-762010-almost-completed/page/2/#findComment-2426197 Share on other sites
