Bought a box of Chaos marines to paint as Word Bearers, whats peoples thoughts on them?

Thanks for the comments, obviously theres no Iconography or script on the models yet, im not sure which way to go with that.

 

Hopefully i'll get more of the book guy done tomorrow.

I was going to use him as a dark apostle but i didnt realise how low i was on bits!

looking great dude. I play against chaos most the time and they are a pain in the arse sometimes. Most my mates paint thier models too "nice and shinny" for chaos and look like they walked a showroom. :lol:

 

my advice would be to weather the armour as teh figures look great.

Yeah i hate 'shiney' csm too :lol:

Im going to use a weathering kit i have to add some nice weathered details when there all painted. I tried to dull the armour as much as i could, i used black ink and devlan mud and baal red washes to tone the colours down a bit.
