Ashe Darke
Nice work sir. That's a very nice and consistent yellow, gotta love the battle damage as well. The non-metallic metal is nice as well, a subtle look that still looks metal. The scratches on the chain sword are a nice touch to, not too much but effective. Nice to see you bothered with the text on the papers to. Never got why marines didn't bother with a more permanent method for doing their oaths. Ashe Darke
Two swords? He's got a very Emperor's Champion vibe about him, I'm almost thinking he should be in Templar colours. Nice work on the eye lenses ;)
Iron Foot
Beautiful models. Yellow recipe? Thank you very much. It's quite a simple scheme as follows: White undercoat. Smooth Golden Yellow basecoat. 2 or 3 layers quite watered down Highlight of a Mix of Golden Yellow / Skull White 75% / 25% all Raised areas. Controled Gryphonne Sepia wash over all yellow areas. Don't let it pool to much on a flat area. Careful not to leave brush strokes. Re-highlight with the same yellow/white mix. Any damage is done with Dark Flesh. Iron Foot
Can't wait for the rest of the command squad to be painted. Have you finished the scouts yet? Command Squad is 75% done. Really need to get started on the banner. Scouts.. i have one almost finished. Got the bits i need today to finish off my scout sergeants and storms. :D I also have a scout objective marker almost finished. Probably have that finished first so he'll be next up. Zepheriah
Yellow is a tough colour to paint but by god you've done a cracking job :D Keep the pics coming, they rock
Cyrl
I'm very much liking these marines. The lack of dark washing in the recesses is makes a refreshing change from the norm and as others have said - ace yellow B)

Iron Foot
Btw Where is the Helmet from that the twin swords marine have ? Afraid its from the venerable dreadnought kit. Thanks fellas for the positive comments. Army Pics: These guys were painted years ago. I've been working on a lot of different armies since but what the hell. These fellas are the meat of the army. Army shot Terminators + Characters Dreadnoughts Tactical I have my full 6 tactical squads. No need to post all of them. Devastators Line Breaker Assault Troops Command Squad New command squad on its way. These guys have done me well but are a bit dated now. All of these marines have been undercoated in black and worked up though foundation paints and citadel yellows. It was a massive amount of work and i feel is not the best that i can achieve these days. I will retire a few squads here and there but the main part of the army will remain unchanged. Still i have a few projects in the pipeline and am excited to get them underway.

Warsmith Morenze
If that banner is freehand, then it's one of the best I've seen in a good while. If not, then it doesn't affect the quality of the squad at all. Damn nice job.
Angrypantz
Talking about freehand maybe putting a picture of your deathwing banner up here would be good. Think I still have it on my phone...
