rapscallion
Hello, I am currently reading the first space wolf omnibus and it mentions that they give each other the sign of the wolf. I got the impression it was their own version of the double handed Aquila gesture. I was trying to figure this out, I thought it might be the classic dog shadow puppet, but that just sounds cheesy. Anyone out there know what the correct way to show this? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/200468-sign-of-the-wolf/ Share on other sites

Quillen
I am pretty sure it's not a shadow puppet thou. Close to the idea thou. Who knows it could be a hang lose gesture as they never said exactly what it was. Taeken
I am going to go out on a limb and assume that the mighty Space Wolves are not running around giving each other "The Shocker" lol Though that would explain all of the howling and fighting that goes on. Svegarsvenson-"Hrolf... look over there..." "Gotcha!" AAAAHHHOOOOOO!!!! Hrolf-"You shall pay for that boy!" Stormshrug
Could be a one-handed version of that, perhaps. You can pretty much get across the "wolf" with just the right hand in that picture. It seems a *little* less silly if it isn't a two-handed gesture. As an alternative, perhaps some sort of runic gang-sign? -Stormshrug Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/200468-sign-of-the-wolf/#findComment-2388531 Share on other sites
Barn
I should also have said, i always imagined it to be similar to the way Christians make the sign of the cross. Tracing the rune pattern of Russ instead of a cross, if you get what i mean.
