Callidus Assasin

Recommended Posts

So the Callidus Assassin has the polymorphic drug allowing it to transform its appierance to resemble another human or a humanoid xenos. It has been reported that they has changed their form to imitate eldar, orks and even one assasin was able to take the form of a gene stealer. My idea is to not have a single model to represent the Callidus assasin but to have many models each representing a member of the enemy race.

Now each of these versions of the assasins forms would have "hidden" characteristics representing it as a Callidus. For example if i used a gene steeler when fighting tyranids then his "scything talons" would have a metalic sheen as to represent the C'tan Phase Blade and the markings on its back will naturally form the inquisitorial I. Another example would be an ork boy with a looted necron weapon and a looted peice of inquisitorial gear also bearing the inquisitorial I (I know ive only given examples of how ill represent that the model is allied to the inquisition and the C'tan Phase Blade but there will be representations of the rest of the wargear as well). I will try to make one of these models for every type of enemy army.

Does this seem like a cool idea? And does anyone have any suggestions on subtle/natural ways to represent war gear for the various armies?. So far i have ideas for Tyranids, Orks, Tau and Space Marines.

Sounds like a cool idea to me! I'd probably be less subtle with the Callidus characteristics though, otherwise you might as well just field an ordinary model. Maybe having them looking a bit more "sneaky" and wielding a blade (for the C'tan Phase Blade) and being sure to paint them in your army's colours for completion's sake.

Post up pictures when you have them :)
