Cassius' master crafted combi flamer

Hi all mates,

 

Chaplain Cassius is armed with a master crafted combi flamer,

now I know that being master crafted if i fire the bolter i can reroll 1 dice if i miss TO HIT

 

but how does it work with the flamer?

Pretty sure it doesn't work with the flamer component? My first thought was "well, it's like twin-linked for templates, it rerolls a single wound", but that doesn't feel right to me. The Twin-linked entry does have a specific note for template weapons. The Master-crafted entry does not. So I'm thinking it only applies to the boltgun part.

Yep thade has it. MCing only works on weapons that need a to hit roll. We are not told of a mechanism for an MC'd template so on the flamer part it simply doesn't work.
