I finished scrapping together the four grey hunter packs, the are uglier than a (insert the ugliest thing you can think of). This is because half of the models are partially stripped second hand ultramarines, so ya <_< ... After ard boys, I will dis-assemble everything, I mean everything and anything in the army I rushed on, and take my time to do a better job.

 

They are kitted out as

-2X; 2 meltas, motw, standard and drop pod

-2X; 2 flamers, motx, power weapon, standard and drop pod

 

Now I just have to scrap up the other long fang pack and the four drop pods. If you wanna help me with the list, Ive got a thread going in the Space Wolves List Reviews.

So after much screaming in frustration, I finished assembling the drop pod. Only 3 more to go! :D

After changing my retinue list-wise, I needed to make a small change model wise. 2 Mystics, and 1 sage instead of the other way around.

I love the pose I accidentally put on this guy, its almost like he's doing the co(BS!)ugh sort of thing if you know what I mean.

And for some fun, I did some more painting on the venerable dread, and I must say, I'm liking him much more in the more traditional SW colors. I will take more time to paint him after Ive taken care of everything else, which all has to be ready by Sunday morning.

If your talking about the names on the plate its part of the new Venerable Dreadnought Plastic Kit.

EDIT+++ Agreed with the drop pod - I built the one out of the SW Battleforce and as a result I probably won't be buying another - It was an absolute git to build :S

Oh, okay yeah the names on the plate are from the new venerable dreadnought kit. The ones you see on mine are actually the "base" ones that are part of the front, the other ones you see pictures of are secondary pieces you can cover these up with.

 

Yes, the drop pods are big gits, but I need them, and will unfortunately have to buy more in the future.

 

So here is the second drop pod finished. I am going to bed early tonight so I can wake up early tomorrow and finish getting everything ready.

With 'Ard Boyz over, I can now actually try to keep my personal vow of completing a single project before I start another, so currently on my painting station, is my venerable dreadnought. His name shall be Ari (pronounced R-E) which means eagle (as in eagle-eyed). He doesn't have a title yet (Bjorn the Fell-Handed), but I suppose he will earn that in another game.

So right now, I'm working on the venerable dreadnought I got recently. I (just about) always equip my dreadnoughts with plasma cannons, so I decided I would start on the cannon. I have never really painted a plasma weapon, so this is really the first. Its still a WIP of course, but I think I am done with the muzzle. I may later put a gloss on it, and then re-do the washes.

So let me know what you think of it right now.

If you are wondering why its lighter on the outer side, I try to make the light source come from the right of my models (left in the photo to us).

Neato! I like how the plasma cannon is painted.

I'd like to point out something that I've recently discovered. While reading through my January edition of White Dwarf in French, I noticed that in the Legion of the Dead painting guide, they named what everyone (including myself until then) thinks is the plasma container in a plasma gun/cannon. Turns out it's a magnetic accelerator (accelerateur magnetique in French), and those are coils of some sort. So now, it seems like the should be painted silver or something. Which is a real shame, because so many wonderful plasma guns/cannons are already painted the other way.

Of course, I've seen a few GW-made models with that part painted like a plasma reservoir, so who really knows?

Anyway, keep up the good work, this Venerable Dreadnought looks like it will be great.

So I'ze got a question for you boyz. So me mech boy has gotten some 'Uge choppas, but, he cant decide on wich one to tell tha pain boy to put on 'em. So which choppa duz you think is da best?

 

Ok, so not in ork, I got a nob box for the uge choppas and cant make up my mind, so which one do you think looks best for my Iron Priest. Please keep in mind He will most likely be riding a juggernaut later, and is representing the little bit of fluff I wrote for Böðvarr the Iron-Heart.

Most definitely Choppa 4. It's design is a little less scrappy than the rest, suggesting it is not of Ork origin

Ive gotten a lot done (for me at least), but its spread out so everything just has a little work done ;) . I cant post pics because I don't have batteries for my camera, so I will try and get some tomorrow.

 

My jump pack wolf priest is coming along slowly, he's got some basic stuff done on the flesh of the face, and some pretty interesting "frosty grey hair". bronze metallics are started, as well as red, and the majority of the 'body' is done.also its the other helmet that comes with the ven. dread kit, the one with the huge grill. I unfortunately lost the other, I think it may have been swallowed by another black hole.

 

I'm painting the helmet for the Thunder Wolf Iron Priest while I'm waiting for the rest of him to come together.

 

I've started painting a certain LOGAN GRIMNAR. Cool/fun model to paint.

 

I've gone pack to dry-brushing for highlighting, its so much better than trying to layer a bunch of slightly different mixes.

 

Been experimenting with basing, making some pretty cool stuff to.

So heres that scenery I mentioned in the update on that first post. My friend is having me do 4 or 5 of these by the end of the month, so unfortunetly, I will not be able to put a 10-out-of-10 effort towards these. Maybe a 5. Also an airbrush would make it so much easier. So anyways he wants them to be an urban-ish battlefield in winter, with pieces of the ship scattered between them. I have only gotten a chance to touch the ship with a little grey yet, so thats pretty much how he had the whole thing painted.

 

Mind you this is a work in progress.

I should have an update of that terrain soon, complete with dead marine and dead hormagaunt. The terrain is for a team battle tournament at the end of the month so I'm going to try to include some of the major races in the terrain. ---Dont Go Crazy, read the next sentence carefully you--- I have been basing some my tyranids with the snow and I'm making a Diorama with some psykers battling it out, with of course a marine or chaos marine librarian/sorcerer. I may include pictures later. Hopefully I will be able to attend the tourney, but I'm very busy this month.

Well, Iv'e made an attempt at painting a NMM blade for the first time. Certainly not the most amazing or realistic effect, but I'm kind of happy with it bieng my first try and all, but then I had to go and smudge it :) ..... Anywways, the computer that can upload pics got sick with a virus and is at the doctors, so no pics for now, sorry.

Well, I was going to post a bunch of pics of whats been dominating my work bench. But, technology seems to be failing me lately. My computer crashed, just got it back. My Xbox died, Again! Now the worthless rechargeable batteries in my camera died and they're taking forever to charge.
