Well, theres always a chooser of the slain to completely deny it to them....

Oh yeah. I forgot those cheat infiltrators.

.. I get the feeling that someone might be very upset at the start of his first turn tomorrow.. all this advice is absolutely stellar! Please go to my post in the Army Lists section and tell me what you think of my revised army list.

Gunline. His mobility is nearly negated so long as you keep your units close to each other, as he has little space to manouvre and will have meet you on your terms. Whatever you do, don't use a Drop Pod; it sounds like he's convincing you to send in your units piecemeal. Never do that.

Remember our Chapter's Trait? We're a pack, we work well as a pack.

Tonight's game ended in a draw. While I denied him the table corners, he killed more of my units. This has inspired me to just.. write.

The Wolf Lord gazed upon his troops assembled before him. Each warrior's eyes locked on him, distinct traces of dissapointment and anger in their eyes. The Lord looked to his advisors, the assembled Wolf Priests and Rune priests, then bared his fangs and roared loudly.

At the height of his cry, he raised his mighty frost axe and slammed the weapon into the floor of the ruined factorum.

"Gaze upon me, brothers. Look now upon my armor, the damage it has taken! See the wych-blood on my fists! Yes, we have faced the wretched Eldar thrice, and yes, they have pushed us back thrice. THIS ENDS NOW! This eve, I implore all of you to look to your wargear! Prepare yourselves for our last fight with the alien heathens, for we shall not allow their victory again. Hours ago, we denied them of their greater prize, and the price on our part was high. In mere days, they will emerge from the psyker-mists again, and again they will seek to rout us. They will again seek our demise! This shall not come to pass! There will be no more standing, no more holding. There will only be the charge! There will be nothing but a grand assault on their lines! The Rune-Priests have seen what is dear to them. They have seen what the Eldar seek, and we shall not allow them to take it! We will not allow them to leave alive! We will meet them on the field of battle, face to face, eye to eye, blade to blade. We will show these fickle elf-kin what the wrath of mother Fenris truly is! We will break their spines over our knees, and tear their skulls from their necks! We will rend great holes in their war machines! We will have victory! We will have their blood! We will tear the heart out of their threat to the people here!"

At once, a great chorus of howls and roars rose up from the warriors, each showing his lust for the coming battle, when they would finally end the terrible dance.

.. That's all I'm going to do. No screwing around, dudes. Nothing but aggression. Assault. Assault. ASSAULT! I get it now. The Eldar have some goodness, and some trickiness, but they're brittle. They don't have a chance against the power of a Space Wolves assault.

Our points set for the next game is 1500. tomorrow morning, I make up a new army list.

In 1500 points I would take a minimum of three Grey Hunter packs, and a 15 man Blood Claw unit lead by a Wolf Priest. Being fearless means they'll just keep moving forwards, and it takes a lot to kill a unit that big. Take the free flamers and they can burn up a Wych unit if it gets too close.

My thoughts exactly, although I was thinking five squads altogether with as much vehicle support as I can give them. My only question is how to deploy them. Rhinos or Pods?

I was considering that if I have six Troops, I can leave two squads mechanized on one side, and put the other four in pods. Deploy two pods On the best available side of him, and the next turn, same with the other two pods.

Space Wolves on all sides doesn't seem like a good thing for Eldar. I'd back up the deploying Pods with a Deep Strike Land Speeder. One for each pair

I only use Rhinos, so I'm biased, but plunging my units into the enemy's lines so they have some free shooting never feels good.

Also, a Rune Priest with storm caller could move behind the Blood Claw pack giving it (and any other unit with a model within 6 inches) a 5+ cover save. For some reason I can never make those saves, but in theory it's possible.
