FenrisWolf
Wanted to do something different with some miniatures my wife bought me. What do you all think (other than not tourney legal!)? http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/uploads...4867_443646.jpg http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/uploads...4867_249145.jpg http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/uploads...4867_938915.jpg http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/uploads...867_1216377.jpg http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/uploads...4867_473615.jpg http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/uploads...867_1655249.jpg http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/uploads...867_1385418.jpg http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/uploads...867_1604880.jpg http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/uploads...867_1635621.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/200616-daughters-of-freya/ Share on other sites
Ryzouken
I think a couple of them look like they have broken wrists. Maybe it's just me, I just better enjoy a miniature when the rifle they're holding isn't at an awkward angle with the rest of their arm. Usually, when you see someone with a rifle, they have it braced along their forearm, else they're not gripping it by the... grip. Some of what you've got there looks good, or will once you get a coat or two of paint and primer on them, but the couple that have their gun flying off in random directions? Not so much. Schertenleib
The sniper rifles just are not working with the poses that the metal figures are cast into. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/200616-daughters-of-freya/#findComment-2389658 Share on other sites
Requiem of the Wolf
The sniper rifles just are not working with the poses that the metal figures are cast into. Yeah It does seem to be problematic. Great look so far though and a great idea. I could totally see fielding a squad or two of those along with the normal wolves. FenrisWolf
Yeah, there is a bit of a mismatch on a couple of them. Which ones in particular do you think the rifles are off? Beef
Great idea, agree about the sniper rifles. Get them painted Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/200616-daughters-of-freya/#findComment-2389868 Share on other sites
Grimtooth
Dump the chainswords and outfit them with combat blades instead. You are asking a lot from some frail looking ladies. Ive been workin on somethin similar with Mordhiem Sisters of Sigmar and they seem to be suffering the same wrist probs as yours. Levitas
Kinda got that sniper wolf feel from MGS, and thats a cool thing. I agree, just refine them a little with smaller stealth knifes and better positioning of the rifles. You could also strap the rifle on the back of the oddly posed ones. I do like the idea though. Just dont try and play a sisters of battle player as there is no way he/she will let you have that S4 T4 stat line ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/200616-daughters-of-freya/#findComment-2390156 Share on other sites
FenrisWolf
They are Dark Reaper miniatures, designed by W Klocke. My wife wanted me to have some sexy warrior babes in the army but didn't like the sisters of battle looks. So I went for these. I'll look at the smaller combat blades - I kinda wanted to see one with a chainsword...
