Thats 1200pts.

Use the LF's to set up a fire base; put the Razors in front, with a RP around to cast Tempest and to use LL on warwalkers and the like.

Use the fact you have 16 Krak missiles and two lascannons first turn to good effect!

Run the LW's at the Wraithlords, if they are still standing, or simply to guard your firebase.

Job done.

Nightrunner out!

Whirlwind- 85pts.

1200pts.

Turn 1- Drop the whirlwind on the pathfinders, hit the warwalkers with the long fangs... and if they arent visible, kill a wraithlord. Set Grey Hunters up on the flanks or send after objectives as needed, with dreads as support.

Turn 2+ Continue until all walkers and MCs are dead. Use the bikes short range against them and simply wait for them to come close enough to hit. Counter-charge with a dreadnaught if they are stupid enough to assault. Use Plasma against walkers/wraiths once theyre in range, or against bikes as needed. Whirlwind redirects to the bikes once the pathfinders are crispified.

Should be over on turn 4 with decent rolls.

Both lists are good.

In Nightrunner's I would not take speeders with HBs, though. Against most of those units the HBs will bounce off. Drop them and take more GHs with plasma and MGs.

This is also an extremely slow Eldar army for the most part.

For me I would take a runepriest. This is a must if for no other reason the 4+ chance to stop powers. You stop fortune and guide and this list loses quite a bit.

At least one unit of longfangs with missles. krak kills just about everything in this list. Since it is a slow list I would abuse them with krak as they advance on you. Obviously need some GHs for troops and I would be partial to plasma for the double tap and range. I'd give them powerfists, too. You are going to go last no matter what in an assault, but a powerfist will kill this stuff good. A dread for fire support and as counter assault would be good, too.

I'd ignore the pathfinders and focus on the other stuff. If you must move/kill them then assault them or flame them. But if you go mech they pretty much can't touch you.

How would i beat this list? With a baseball bat while the player was sleeping.

Really though,I don't think i could come up with something better then Grey mage did without going for the overly mechanized silliness. Ive been tossing around ideas for a 1000 pt list that uses two land raiders.a rune priest for each for Cover saves, and grey hunters till you run out of points lol.

Same army, but setup the Plasmahunters, the smaller plasmahunters, and the Rune Priest in cover.

Bring everything else on turn 1, use the plasmahunters rhino to give a bit of cover for the long fangs as they set up shop somewhere. Move it away next turn. Proceed with the destruction of the enemy at range.

how about this?

Yeah, I never take large amounts of troops.... playing it "safe" is not in my tactical arsenal!

Ive always found that large squads of GH's just don't cut it against anything truly hard to kill... but that's me, don't want to de-rail the OP with that discussion!

Let us know how it goes!

NR :)

thanks, the game is on tuesday! if I win both games that day I win a space wolf battle force for coming first

This is the second game vs the eldar player (also the lector) who is second and is excepted to win, even tho i am 3 points ahead! will be close!
