Warriors of the red wolf WiP army

Hi all

I am a 15 years old boy from Norway, I have been on BC for almost a year now, and I have finally pulled myself together to post something, I collect Space wolfes, and this is my first real army, i also got som tau or orks and what not.

My Chapter is called the: Warriors of the red wolf( Not a 100% sure yet about the name though.) I have some fluff written for them, but i'll have to go trough a couple of times before I will post it here.

 

Here is the first 5 Grey hunters, still wip need to add highlight, finish the details.

Done some more this afternoon, Wip of the next grey hunter squad, I will eventually make each grey hunter squad 10 man strong but, this is what I got for now :D

hola! first off great models :) but im not sure if you know this but fluff wise, the space wolves can't have any successor chapters, the gene seed causes them to go entirely wolfen, and the one successor the did have, the wolf brothers, were disbanded because of it. BUT......they are your models, so do whatever you want with them. another route you could go is use the space wolf bits and rules and just pick a different gene seed, (im doing that with my shadow foxes, they use white scar geneseed) but like i said, you can do what you want, and your models look good no matter what you do :P

^_^ well.. gotta admit it didnt know that, but anyway thanks for reply and straightening up their fluff a litttle bit. Right now i am thinking of them as "count as" and just use the codex marine codex, If so could the frost blade be a relic blade or just a standard power weapon? Anyway I will take more photos tomorrow, when I got some more painted up. Or i could use them as you said with a different geene seed, and call them "guardian of the lion" something like that ( name i just randomly came up with, nothing am planning to keep, but an example.

Just stripped down some therminators with red sprite.

 

I do know about simple green and neil polish which is other products wich is great for stripping, and probaply better. But they dont selll that stuff here in Norway :(

 

Or they do sell one kind of neil polish, but that one melts the plastic. My black reach chapter master have already felt its wraith by losing his face :(

 

Well anyway here they are basecoated.

anyways, to keep this in english; I like them. While the purple combined with the green is a bit weird for my tastes, I love the purple with the gold. oh and I need to point out that you've got talent!

 

Criticism; You should paint the bolter casings in a nother colour, preferably black, I think. Would look good. Also, maybe paint the chest emblems (wings and such) in gold? I think that would look good. Purple, green and gold would make a nice main colorscheme i think.

Yea I know its a little different colour scheme, but thats kinda what i wanted. Really sick of all theese imperial fists armies going around, which was also what I had, but stripped them. yea this guys are not finished yet, so I will eventually paint bolter castings, chest emblems ect... thx again:)

I like the purple color scheme. With all the Blue, Yellow and Red/Black custom chapter colors around, it's very refreshing. The green and purple also works well, although I agree with noodlenerd that the purple/gold is better.

 

Also, since your pictures are a bit big, may I recommend this Online Image Resizer. It's fairly easy to use and would help peope with slower Interwebs :devil: (MSPaint can do this, too, by the way)

Yea i do agree, but that's already chapter(Hawk lords) My original plan was to keep grey hunters with green shoulder pads, blood claws with red, and elites like wolfs guard with gold, this goes for the hqs aswell. But i might change it and add more gold into the normal marines, like chest symbol, random details ect...

I think you should do that. adding golden chest symbols etc would reaaally work with the green and purple and I think the three colour would really complete each other. do eeeet.
