Zepheriah
Hi All, This is a WiP shot of my current project, my Grand Master of Chaplains, Interogator Chaplain Kolaiah. Obviously it's based off the Ashtorath model, with a different colour scheme, and a converted crozius, which for the life of me i can't find anywhere, even though i know i've allready painted it. I'll be using the backpack off of Cypher as i think it fits best with the overall bones and death feel of the Ashtorath sculpt. http://i736.photobucket.com/albums/xx10/ZepheriahAotW/Angels%20of%20the%20Watch/05052010005.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/200707-wip-interogator-chaplain/ Share on other sites

Zepheriah
Thank you brother. At the moment, apart from hair, face and winged tear drop, i'm just at first highlight on the muscle looking stuff and basecoat/wash on the bone sections, when i get chance to paint it up a bit more i'll whack a bigger one up, and when i find the crozius i'll post that too <_< Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/200707-wip-interogator-chaplain/#findComment-2390887 Share on other sites
geordie09
I'm loving it too, until you posted I had no idea that the astorath miniature could be used so simply to make a conversion... I'm getting one for myself now! Great work so far! Zepheriah
Greetings, i found the crozius, was hiding under a pile of old paper work, i'm assuming the missus' cleaning frenzy took a pass at my desk and took it along for the ride. http://i736.photobucket.com/albums/xx10/ZepheriahAotW/Angels%20of%20the%20Watch/07052010011.jpghttp://i736.photobucket.com/albums/xx10/ZepheriahAotW/Angels%20of%20the%20Watch/07052010012.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/200707-wip-interogator-chaplain/#findComment-2391493 Share on other sites
Terrible_Trygon
I still think he looks very Blood Angely. A hood might have helped if you wanted minimal conversion. Zepheriah
Funny you should say that Trygon, i've been looking at him under my screen all day tihnking it would be so much better to remove the tear/blood drop and green stuff a sword in tis place, not much scope otherwise. I don't want this one to have a hood or robe of any kind, more for my fluff reasons than an aesthetic one, but i think the model looks ace enough with hair B) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/200707-wip-interogator-chaplain/#findComment-2391568 Share on other sites
Terrible_Trygon
I actually am fine with the hair. I just like characters with long hair coming out from the front of their hoods and I think it looks very 'Dark Angely'. Aerixis
Sorry bro the tear drop lets it down, in an awesome paint job and brilliant concept that i too am also working through, but really the effort to remove the blood drop woiuld've made it a million times more effective! Zepheriah
Looking a tit after i posted it up here i realised that its not helping the conversion any, its allready gone, the wings are still there, i'm just figuring out how best to fill the void the droplet created. Most likely it'll be a green stuffed sword, simple, but a big difference over the droplet. If any of you can convince my missus thats its a good idea to let me rest everynow and then so i can paint it'd be appreciated :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/200707-wip-interogator-chaplain/#findComment-2392549 Share on other sites
Adam_R
Great paint job, needs a tabbard or a hood perhaps to give it that DA feel Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/200707-wip-interogator-chaplain/#findComment-2392566 Share on other sites
Zepheriah
I'm thinking a tabard green stuffed nice and high to cover the whole BA symbol may be the way to go, cheers for the idea there Adam!!!
