Inache
Now that I've finally assembled all the pieces I need to build my Inquisitor I'm turning my attention to building a visually diverse retinue of henchmen. So far I have two sanctioned psykers as mystics, the DH Inquisitor w/ sword and pistol (awesome model btw) as acolyte, and a Enginseer as sage. I'm perusing GW's website to find models that would make a good base for conversion or would could just fit right in with everybody else. And in my search I came across the Necromunda Arbites, who have a cyber-mastif. I'm thinking that one would do nicely as an acolyte, and the Arbites could fulfill the roles of gun servitors with proper weapon replacements. Thoughts? One thing I'm still looking for though is a female model that I can convert into an Inquisitor. I loathe the WH models, and I have few promising leads in 40k models. Necromunda and Mordhiem yield up a few, but my hope is that some are skulking in WFB, but I've combed over it, and can't make heads or tails out of some of the units. I'm trying not to stray too far from the GW flock as I'd like to keep my army tourny legal. So any ideas in that area? One lead is that there's a page with pictures of various Inquisitors linked in the online resource thread that has several, but I have no idea what kit that Dark Eldar torso is from, any help there? AcidBurn
hi there i have just started deamonhunters and am looking for decent acolyte henchmen aswell, so far the only decent female one i have found is this one http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/...dId=prod1120087 the free arm could easily have a storm shield or someting added to it and the flail could easily be replaced with a nice power sword. ive also been sizing up a few more models for acolytes http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/...rodId=prod20030 http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/...rodId=prod20032 http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/...rodId=prod20031 these are all easilt convertable (depending on your crafting ability) hope this helps mate Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/200714-dh-henchmen/#findComment-2394465 Share on other sites
Inache
Thanks! Yeah, after poking around in the Female Marine threads by Doctor Thunder in the PCA forum I discovered Wood Elf archer heads contain some decent females. So that along with a Dark Elf torso, an some Eldar arms I have laying around I'll throw together my Female Inquisitor. Thankfully the Bitz Barn was fully stocked. Also picked up some Deathwatch accessories to add to my insensate army building. I like the first and third models from the Empire priests. I've never been a fan of the models holding a book and fighting at the same time. A true holy warrior would have it memorized. :D I'd use them for Hierophants before I used them for Acolytes though. Lucky for me I picked up two Cyber-Mastifs off ebay for a steal, thus avoiding the staggering cost of the whole Arbites Necromunda box. Now I just need to think up a suitable color scheme for the pups. Dilgar
I bought the space marines techmarine and servitors box got my hands on an extra heavy bolter and I got three heavy bolter servitors (two from the box and one of the servitors I just modded a HB on). I actually also modded the techmarine to a mystic, only gave him one arm that looks like he is holding a "tri-corder"(star trek lingo :D), and glued a shoulder pad on the other + the packback with that came with him without all the extra stuff. Now he looks like a cyborg with some wierd shoit on him (=mystic if u like :)). The extra bits in the box can be used for various cool modifications on other units too. Also converted the last servitor from the box to a mystic, gave him an wierd contraption for arm (think 1930´s scifi with a lightbulb :)). Anyway, those are my henchmen mods.
