Killian Doyle
This is my progress so far, not much, but it´s a start. Mainly cities of death stuff, battlefield accesories and some ral partha resin kits. The roads are made of cardboard and sanding paper and painted with a template. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e376/detectivewayne/IMG_0008.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e376/detectivewayne/IMG_0006.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e376/detectivewayne/IMG_0010.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e376/detectivewayne/IMG_0012.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e376/detectivewayne/IMG_0015.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/200892-urban-table-wip/ Share on other sites
Uncle Mel
Nice roads! how wide are they? I was thinking of this the other day and figured 6" for total width should do. this would mean one lane is about rhino width. Killian Doyle
Thanks! The roads are indeed 6" wide, it felt like the right scale for "civilian" vehicles and they are wide enough for a Land Raider to ride through. However, I only recommend this way of making roads if you're planning on giving your vehicles a base, otherwise you'll keep scratching the paint out of the tracks... That's not a problem for me since I do intend to make bases for all my vehicles but I know some people don't like it. Uncle Mel
All right, good to know the size is ok, how abou coating the paper with a layer of PVA, would that stop the scratching?
