AlexCrute
What's redundant about Howling Griffons? Were they destroyed or something? Or perhaps merely 'destroyed' like Scythes of the Emperor?
the sanguinor
lol i was made redundant...not the army...
Argon
It's sad you have to sell these guys  . Not only are they beautiful, but they're only the second one I've seen painted. Let me just say that I love your Librarian. The "force hammer" idea is one I might just take for a Terminator Sorceror I managed to scrounge together. WingsOfTheFalcon
Congratulations mate, these are superb, I'm gutted for you that they have to go. I suppose someone has to ask, how did you do the yellow? :)
Mr.Millar
Those are just stunning, I would buy them if only i could afford it. Absolutely stellar job and i can only hope they go to a good home, it sucks that you have to sell them in the first place.
the sanguinor
thanks for the positive comments. i will be sad to see them go. wingsofthefalcon: the yellow mix is quite straight forward: 1.basecoat iyanden darksun 2.wash with gryphonne sepia 3.re-apply iyanden darksun to all but recesses 4. add white to darksun to highlight. 5 repeat 4 but add more white until satisfied. Tyrannicide
Wow. That Apothecary figure is just damn cool. The stark white works surprisingly well with the red and yellow of the Griffons colors. It reminds me of that Iron Warriors piece of artwork with the Apothecary kneeling over his dead brethren.

WingsOfTheFalcon
One thing I would say is please base that poor apothecary, such an awesome model doesn't deserve black plastic!!
the sanguinor
i know! i really need to get round to it...just trying to churn out my blood angels at the moment. there are pics of those in the blood angels segment under the title 'the angelic host'. Cyrox
That Apothecary is ace - and deserving of a nice base
S. Bloodhowl
These guys are ace, I would buy them if it were not for the fact that I too have been made redundant by GW. Can we see a close up of the shoulder pads? I just noticed their sculpted, did you do that yourself or did you buy them?
the sanguinor
i fully cheated with the shoulder pads...they are the gw mentors ones. i figured that an eagle head is the same as a griffon head.. i was unable to freehand the actual chapter symbol, alas my skills are too weak
