My Crimson Fists (first army)

Hey Im fairly new to 40k And this is my first attempt at painting anything really. My army isn't really finished yet but nearly everything here is finished (bar the terminator squad). Hoping to get my fists up to 2500 points eventually. My main aim of the painting is to get them looking dark and shadowy, because as a chapter they're in a pretty grim situation and i wanted the painting to reflect that. Also sometimes the blue looks really bright in the photos because of the flash.

Save for a few mold lines pretty solid painting looks rather smooth and even welcome to the wonderful hobby of painting^_^

You've got loads of models done which is great and I bet looks really good on the tabletop. It's taken me a year and a half to paint 8 marines and a rhino B)

 

What I would say to make them look better straight away is to paint in the eye lenses on all of them. Also, the paint looks quite thick on some of the models so maybe thin it down. The termies look good though, nice and smooth.

 

You'll get better as you go along too but there's nothing like having a fully pained army [i suppose ^_^]

Thanks for the replies. I see where you're coming from with the mould lines, i guess i couldn't be bothered to but a few models its quite noticeable. The necron abyss parts are painted on pretty thin i think its the camera cause some of the models are almost black. Next I'm gonna get either a predator, a dread nought, boost my assault or sternguard units to 10 men. But i dunno what yet.
