Correct. Expect this to move soon.

Also, the Space Wolves have no successor chapters. They made one with the Second Founding that came to a rather bitter end due to the instability of the canis helix, but that's it and that's canon. Sorry.

There are no more children of Russ. the High Lords get all tetchy about the rampant mutations you get when you try to recruit non-Fenrisians. The Wolf Brothers all turned into Wulfen.

Thunderhawks are not Navy. A thunderhawk is a space to air craft designed to get a marine from ship to planet and back again, far too small to have a warp engine. Far too small to stand up to real ships.

Sword and Cobra class frigates are about as small as they get and still have warp capabilities and even they have a crew of about 500.

Underwater living could be good.

Okay, But like I say, This is my friend's chapter, I Cannot Really Change Much.

I'll see what he says.

Ah, well.. this forum is dedicated to the revision and refinement of ideas so we can turn rough drafts like this one into something damn good.

In other words, we shoot holes in all the ideas that don't work.

soddinnutter has indeed struck the nail firmly upon the head with his comments.

But tell your friend to bear in mind there are thousands of ways to get a chapter very much like the Space Wolves without the geneseed.

Should he/she wish to pursue this project further, also tell him/her to read the DIY Guide stickied at the top of this forum. ;)

'He' Does not use B&C, but I may give him it, thanks fot the tip.

And, Revised Termie:

Silver now matches that of 2nd company marine.

EDIT:

The orogin of the silver wolves is unknown, some speak of them even being a space wolves great company whom abandoned their chapter...

The wolves also seem to have some relation with the blazing suns (My DIY Chapter) but them having any genetic similarities is doubted.

PS. This edit has not yet been confirmed with 'him'

PPS. Excuse my bad spelling.

Thats is going to be rough road, better buckle up.

But there's nothing wrong with you and your friend's idea,

just got to get something work for both of you.

There's always the none fluff side of warhammer.

As in a disorganized forum I used to go to, they just name

their chapter with little thought of its purpose, which I doubt

would make the game interesting to play.

Now I'm not being cocky or anything, just want to

cheer you on and your friend to go ahead and plan well.

Makes me envy you had a friend like that.

You might want to drop the bomb on this one,

Abandoning your chapter is considered a no-no even

for a fluffed chapter.

You're either excommunicated or exiled, and no longer have the ability

to rebuild.

Actually, the leaders of great companies have in the past been fed up with the current overall leadership of the Space Wolves and taken their companies elsewhere. However they are not exactly abandoning their history and chapter, just taking up residence where they can do things more their way. Honor dictates that they return if they are needed.

The space wolves are one of the most independent and sizable chapters, sizable because they are independent.

Correct, a Wolf Lord's oath is to Russ and the Alfather and he is not bound forever to the Great Wolf. The Great Wolf is but the first among equals - albeit one with considerably more resources at his disposal.

Wolf Lords can leave and do their own thing whenever they wish, but the exact number of Great Companies that have chosen a different path to that of a Great Wolf is not known. However there are always twelve Great Companies under the Great Wolf with a new one being formed if one goes its own way.

Collectively those that go their own way are known as the Lost Companies - http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...showarticle=178

I see, I thought for sure you get hunted down if you do such a thing.

Thats new to me.

Speaking of Lost Companies, has there been anymore mention to the 13th that came trundling out of the Eye to play ball with Chaos? ... I never really followed up much with them, the rules, etc. never really appealed to me worth enough to play with them, but really, it'd be cool to know just What happened to these fellas.
