Space Wolves and allies

Considering that the 13th company have resorted to gurilla tactics because of the lack of resources to use a conventional army a bunch of jump pack blood angel regular asoult squad with a sanguine priest with jump pack would be quite agressive.

The death company is basickly the moast bad ass squad any army can get there hands on. 2 attacks, 2 mellee weaponds, T4 S3+, furius charge and feel no pain and rerentles (if you want bolters instead of the boltgunn). The catch is that they can't hold objectives and they have the rage rule. Fits good for using a wulfen in my opinion.

The army would play mutch more agresivly then a regular SW army. SW wants to be at a range of 12", wounding the oponent and the resive the charge or charge themself. BA just want to assoult.

It is a good option, lets just not hope you meet any vindicators, as they will be bad ass against sutch an army.

Anybody who know if the 13th company can use dreadnoughts though?

WOW thanks for SO many replies in such a short time guys!, you've answered all my questions and more!!! but a note to Niiai since i don't have the Blood Angels codex i don't know for sure but i'd assume that BA's can't use Legion of the Damned either since its a C:SM thing from what i read earlier, also i think that GW was saying that Wulfen would be the Death Company? not quite sure but that would make since since there both mutations of the Gene-seed. Also:

His Power Weapon is his Crozius. Just pass it up as a more subtle Crozius.

My Chaplin has his Crozius AND a power sword, why i have no idea but i guess thats how they make Dark Angels Interrogator-Chaplain Asmodai here's a link to his Games-Workshop site page Games Workshop

i was thinking of giving him a Jump Pack and have him leading my Skyclaws since he has two close combat weapons.

and i've decided that instead of useing the actual 13th company and makeing my own company that was lost in the warp centuries ago but has just recently left the warp with out knowing they've been gone for centuries, i rather like that idea since time really has no meaning in the warp, so they'd think they've only been gone for a month when its really been like 400 years. i really like righting short stories set in the 40k universe and this would be a good set up for me to write a back story for my chapter =D but to write that story i'd need to know who the Great Wolf before Grimmnar was, anyone know?

Well...as far as I know Grimnir has been the great wolf for over 500 years or so. So unless they have been gone a VERY long time,he would still have been in charge.

Well. A warp storm would take care of that. Just have them been stuck in the warp for more then 500 years.

Asmodai is armed with a Crozius and a Power Sword because he was created as a Special Character, and that model for him was first made back in the mid-90's back in 2nd Edition. In that edition of the game there were vastly different rules for weapons and close combat than we have now in 5th. If I remember correctly, the Crozius could do d3 Wounds with each successful attack, while the Power Sword gave him a Parry ability (to deflect one of his enemy's attacks).

1. Am i allowed to field the Legion of the Damned and Grey Knights with my Space Wolves?

On top of what's already been said, bear in mind that the new C:DH is on the way. The Allies rule may not be in it, so hang on to your money if you haven't bought them yet.

the Ordos Malleus Inquisitors were the butcherers of Armageddon, and they tell the GK where to hop and what to kill.

Wrong. For the purposes of deciding what to do, the Grey Knights have as much say as any Inquisitor. One of their Grand Masters has a permanent seat on the Inner Conclave of the Inquisition, the nearest thing there is to a central command.

The Ordo Malleus ONLY deal with Daemons not chaos cultists or things like that. That falls within the purview of the Witch hunters.

Wrong. Daemons are their speciality but they still have universal jurisdiction. They're not going to sit around waiting for the Witch Hunters to turn up while a non-daemonic cult overruns the planet below. Chances are it was the Ordo Malleus (although I seem to remember it being the Administratum doing the rounding up, rather than the Inquisition, which I found curious) - if it needed doing, then the Inquisitors on the scene would have done it.

Hi, would just like to say that in the Ragnar novels an old Ordos Malleus inquister was allowed to Fenris and into the Fang, being a friend and ally of Logan Grimnar himself. He was even put in command of Ragnars group of bloodclaws for awhile, so i see nothing wrong with takeing Inquisitors as allies. Grey Knights did fight on Armagedon with us, so that's another no brainer.

Yes some Inquisitors did round up all the survivors of Armagedon and move them off planet to very bad fates but it wasn't every single Inquisitor.

Yup. Being stubborn might be a quality present in Logan Grimnar, but stupidity isn't. I highly doubt he's going to risk kicking off a civil war by deliberately threatening the stability of the Imperium. It would make more sense for him to try to reconcile his 'dislike' with Imperial stability by keeping a group of 'tame' Inquisitors who think it's worth a little disruption to have the Wolves on-side. They can then keep the anti-Wolf Inquisitors off their backs, and there isn't a civil war kicking off either. I seem to remember that the saga of Russ was reported to the Imperium by an Inquisitor sitting in on one of the recitals.

Interestingly, I'd speculate that the First War for Armageddon also sank the anti-Wolf argument. Why? The incorruptible, pure etc. Grey Knights fought alongside them and didn't notice anything corrupt about them.

just wanted to point out that in the Dex it says that the 13th annulus stone is for the 13th company set by russ to chase down magnus, all company's lost due to annihilation or recounted there oaths of fealty. what they mean by recounting their oaths is up to debate wither it was just to leave because of there dislike of authority or because they turned to chaos. i would like to believe we wolves are uncorrectable even though it says that the Grey Knights are they only chapter to never have lost a single marine to chaos =(

Wolves have fallen to Chaos...but not many. And its pretty much assured that His pack would hunt him down and avenge their honor. If a whole pack fell...Their company would hunt them down. More then anything else,we would not let our Brothers live without honor.

Welcome to the Fang my Ulv Bror, I just hit my 2nd anniversary of playing 40K and even though you can use allies for now I think that our codex gives you enough freedom to really have some good psyker fun in all it's Wolfy ways but the great thing about 40K is do what makes you happy...I have a squad of GK Termi's that have never been used but I still have yet to ebay them.

Just to underline the Grand Masters point, a new Grey Knight codex is imminent and given previous statements the chances of the allies rules being kept in are exceedingly slim. I dont want to discourage anyone, but just bear in mind that in the not too distant future your use of GK's alongside your Puppies may be restricted to Apocalypse games.
