The Rune Priests solemnly emerged from the chamber set aside for them to consult the runes. The head Priest stared at Russ, mighty primarch of the Sixth Legion and boomed the answer all the assembled warriors had been expectant of. "Prospero will die Russ, by our blades and fury will the Thousand Sons pay for their treachery. Our Legion will wash the streets with their blood!" A particularly eager Blood Claw issued a howl as the Priest finished and before long every warrior of Russ had joined in, including the giant of a man himself. The times ahead would be challenging indeed.

I have been speaking of a Heresy era force for quite a while now and thought I would show the initial fruits of my labour, however these are still very much in the WIP stage so not exactly the nicest to look at.

Please also note that I am in fact dyspraxic, meaning that my coordination is fairly poor and this will affect the final quality of my miniatures but I aim to finish them to a standard to please myself, not the world. :D

Each pack will have a Wolf Guard assigned to them in larger games however they will be mounted in pods for smaller ones, each pack is named after their leader in the traditional SW manner.

Some might ind it odd that my Wolves are helmeted, I couldn't pass up the awesome helmets from the MkIV kits and I figured that they woud wear helmets during an orbital drop, my personal opinion. I have also decided to attempt to model each warrior with the right weapons hence the Bolt Pistol, Bolter and Close Combat Weapons on my Grey Hunters.

Comments and suggestions are warmly welcomed, but now to the models! (I apologise for terrible images, lighting conditions are poor at the minute)

Cheers. Aye, this pack was going purely for a more "clean feel" with other packs getting proper wolf kit. Kind of testing the water with new stuff. I should be getting to work on another Hunter pack and some Skyclaws within the next week.

My first Grey Hunter pack is pretty much complete, all they really need is some varnish and I believe one needs a transfer Pack/Great Company marking.

The bases are that colour because I imagine the Great Company landing outside of the city, in the desert and I always thought of a coppery sort of desert, like the surface of Mars. (I'm also lazy and couldn't paint cobblestones haha)
