Jarl Bloodwolf
This is the story for my warband of Chaos Lord Therian (the Latin word for beast). I wasent sure if this goes in IA or in CA Following massive losses in his battle against t he Imperium, Chaos Lord Therian made a pact with Fabius Bile that in exchange for slaves and a percentage of any captured gene seed Bile would create mighty warriors to increase the size of Therians' army. When he journeyed to meet with Bile and receive his warriors Therian expected mighty, proud warriors. The savage bestial marines presented to him were a far cry from his expectations. For centuries Bile had experimented with the abhuman beastmen putting them through the same monstrous trials used to create the marines of the original legions, it was these twisted creatures that were presented to Therian. Flying into a rage Therian sought Fabiuss' head for this perceived insult, but the Manflayer was gone. At first Therian contemplated slaying the beasts as his was the genetic stock of the Sons of Horus and such contamination of the gene seed was seen as a grave offence, but through the council of his sorcerer and fearing that his force was not strong enough to survive the next engagement he reluctantly took the monsters aboard his ship deciding that they could be useful cannon fodder. In the battles to come Therian would come to respect the abominations and over the centuries his favor towards his "pets" increased, as did Therians conquests. With each victory dedicated to the Gods Therians power grew, as he became more and more like the savage monstrosities that served beneath him Therian began to adapt his force to suit their abilities. His marines became pack masters tasked with controlling of the more unruly beasts and although they gradually grew to resemble the savage beasts the led to combat, they retained semblances of their former selves. It was on the fields of Gysing that Therian earned his ultimate reward, following the slaughter of no less than 5 Imperial Guard regiments Therian had truly gained the favor of the gods and was granted daemon hood. As immortality flowed through his veins his horde began to tear itself apart, those who had once lead the beasts now turned on each other, each claiming the position recently left vacant by Therians’ ascension. The great company of Lord Therian was lost forever, broken into numerous warbands each comprised of feral monsters intent only on the hunt each howling their praise to the Gods of Chaos and the Lord of Beasts.
