Edimasta
Hi all, it has been a long time for me since I touched a brush or anything warhammer related... years passed, and only some old images of my first miniatures floated through my head when I heard about the new BA miniatures... they where my first ever Space Marines I bought. Well, years ago I planed an army about them, but it never happend. Can't remember why. But anyway I needed something different to do, something else besides work and sports, so now I am starting to do put together my very first real army, the Blood Angels. I just started with some core pieces because I am thinking about doing a different army, more focused on cybots and elite units, but that is just the start. So at first you can see me starting on my Terminator Captain, a Sanguinary Priest and a FW Cybot Chaplain... please be gentle, I am really looking forward to constructive feedback and comments to get things done smooth! http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/6141/termicaptain01.jpg http://img535.imageshack.us/img535/6176/sanguiniuspriester.jpg http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/3373/chaplain01.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/201440-my-first-army-project-the-blood-angels/ Share on other sites
Edemia
These look really good so far mate, I love the smooth red you've done. With regards to the Sang Priest - is that the Corbulo Model or is it made up of bits from Corbulo and Sanguinary Guard models? Edimasta
Yesterday I managed to get some more things done on my priest, which is the most fun at the moment to work on. I tried a few first shades / linings and also tried to highlight this again with white, mostly done on his upper body, also did some details there. Today I will try to finish his upper body and work my way to the legs, also I will do the wings to get things done. http://img413.imageshack.us/img413/4940/sanguiniuspriester2.jpg I also tried to paint my first face ever, think it turned out pretty well. I am unsure if I should do more highlights or if anything is missing, but until now it was a real pain to do, especially the eyes... I did about five retrys until I got them both looking alright. http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/4637/sanguiniuspriesterkopf.jpg Hopefully you can give me some more feedback and / or suggestions for my technique, I am really looking forward to that! SnorriSnorrison
Looks like you´re off to a good start! ;) One question, if you don´t mind: What did you use for the statues on the bases? They look awesome! Keep ´em coming!
