cptphoenixck
i cant decide which color to do. im doing red rims on my shoulder pads. i was thinking of either a bone, yellowish/brown, or the black to grey bone probably looks best, but have you thought about something a little more ornate, it always annoys me how faceless regular marines are as in the fluff they're all highly individual, and their armour is always ornate..... *rant* so yeh I paint mine gold, but if ou're not happy with it bone looks the best and is pretty easy to paint imho Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/201450-chest-eagle-color/#findComment-2400142 Share on other sites
Red Fury
I mix them up. Mostly bone, like 6-7 in a squad, with a couple in gold and even a black/grey one thrown in. -Fury Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/201450-chest-eagle-color/#findComment-2400147 Share on other sites
Rhodric
I've done a few based in Tin Bronze (Think thats the GW name) with a highlight of Shining Gold. The rest are done using Bone White. Like Red Fury, most will be white. I've been using the Army Painter Medium Shade, so it really makes them stand out. Rybnick
I prefer a more uniform look to my minis so for my angels encarmine so they all have a similar paint scheme. I've based the eagles in chaos black and then covered that with golden yellow. I haven't painted the skulls yet but I'm toying with making them either Skull white (seems appropriate...) or Bleached bone (also appropriate) I just haven't decided which I like best yet. Red Fury
Skull white is too white. Do it bleached bone with a slight highlight with white, and a light brown wash like the sepia wash to bring out the details. -Fury Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/201450-chest-eagle-color/#findComment-2400166 Share on other sites

I'm planning on using the Army Painter strong shade myself, I'm thinking with the bone white chest emblems that should be rather nice Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/201450-chest-eagle-color/#findComment-2401260 Share on other sites
