pueriexdeus
Am looking at the Titan Hammer formation, and am trying to figure out if it's worth it. Am planning a 60,000 point Apoc game this summer 30 per side. Right now we are looking at: Sallies/Deathwing 300 TDA 30 Assorted Dreads 15 Assorted LR's 2 Damoclese and a lone Reaver Against Orks. And I'm thinking lots of Stompas. Reading the rules on the Titan Hammer Formation, I only see a Vortex Grenade and limited scatter for 300+ points. Is it worth it? Grey Mage
Well, a vortex grenade is a 250pt investment on its own... and theyre also fearless. So yes, it probly is. That being said, this looks more like a tactica question. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/201487-titan-hammer/#findComment-2400637 Share on other sites
H.C.118
And it's a Vortex for each squad. Worth it every time. Take a formation of 3 A.Term. Squads and a Capt. Lysander or TH/SS Captain. EDIT: That reminds me, the Armored Company LR formation would be good for your tanks. Slap on Extra Armor and take them in squads of 5, and you have a great way to prevent stunlocking. Justicar Valius
If you are playing by RAW and so using a vortex grenade per squad then expect to see A LOT of Str D weapons aimed at your forces. I wouldn't do it. Some would. 2k points for you, will this help your 29 team mates? Most likely yes.
