Though Assault Terminators may work well, my opinion is that the only effective way to use them is to LR them up which means you have a 450 point jackpot that can get killed fairly quickly by just a carnifex or a multi melta and a gunline somewhere.

Tactical terminators are elite infantry, they have heavier armor for things more dangerous and can dish out a punch in CC (No pun intended) and range. I think they should be used as light infantry killers, threats or emergency CC tank busters.

And shooty terms will have less CC attacks target at them because they can thin enemy units with shooting before hand, heavy flamers are amazing for this.

The Heavy Flamer Terminator is much under appreciated. They are especially good in attacker/defender scenarios when you need to deal with Fortifications and Buildings, because you can Flamer the Structure to hit the units inside, and still assault the Structure to cut your way inside with a couple of Chainfists.
