Morticon's Storm Raven- "Koyote Pattern"

Heres my take on the SR with what resources I had available to me. I traded something with a buddy for two Valk kits with various missing bits from each kit.

The following is what I got for my troubles.

Its essentially a "Koyote Pattern" Raven with some mods made by myself.

So, thanks!

And thanks to Jazzman who helped suggest the A-10 Tank killer style short engines up top, and to BobMakenzie for the suggestions on the underside engine placements!

Its not 100% yet, still gotta do the weapon systems.

Enjoy:

wow nice model there, from the front I thought the underbelly was carbored thin but a side shot got rid of my worries. I actually like the bent wings, makes it feel like it would be more manuvarable then a big thunderhawk with striaght wings. Just my opinion.

Looking good Mort. I've not really been a fan of the straight-up Valk versions as they don't differ enough from the original kit; but using two has worked very well. I particularly like the additional engines on the tail fin, nice touch. I probably still prefer some of the designs with some LR bits added but irrespective, quality work.

Now paint that bad boy!

Clever use of parts.

I cant wait to see it finished with weapons systems - I think its really nice. Are you planning to paint it standard Red, or as a Death Company ride?

Dont forget to add the scroll on the drop door with "Your army sucks!!" and leave room for your Dante Model to surf on top

Def. gotte run with the "Your army sucks!" ;)

Other than that, standard red for me army I think ^^

Oh how I want one of those!

A real thorough (sp?) walkthru would be wicked sweet.

But if I can't get that, I must ask, how much more than the stuff from two valkyrie's is needed?

Is there a lot of plasticard (if so, where have you put it?) or pieces from other places/sprues?

Because THIS is how I want my Stormraven to look. Your model is so inspiring that I will try to change my list a bit to be able to include one myself.

I just love this homemade SR, really really well done.

Nice conversion but i have to tell you lot about something.....

A MULTI PART PLASTIC KIT OF THE STORMRAVEN IS COMING OUT IN SEPTEMBER!!!!

Im so sorry to tell you so late that you have already made one but it kicks ass!

You can just see Chuck norris driving one of these.

Its very very easy to do. And there is no plasticard needed, however, to make it look identical to this you will either need:

A: some spare valk bits ><; (ie: another valk kit - ie: not worth it)

or

B: some plasticard work (but not a lot and nothing daunting at all!!!

Nice conversion there, Morticon. Looks slim, fast and has the appropriate size and is not too bulky(kudos to Koyote here, nice concept as well).

I would really like to see some red on this one. :)

PS:

How reliable is the source regarding the Stormraven in September?
