Beast_of_Amareo
I was just wondering how much of the BA's bling can be used in a FT force. I had bought some respectable quantities of BA bits, thinking that I will start a BA force, but in the meantime Aaron Dembski and his "At Gaius Point" story won me and dragged me in the FT loop. Does this mean that I will have to weep over my wasted cash and time I spent trying to find all these bits or using them in a FT force is ok? I am mostly concerned of the blood drops/wingy shoulderpads and less about the weapons, which after all just have a more generic Angels-of-Death feeling. Of course, only one of the shoulderpads in each marine will be from the BA kit, as in general I will try to spread the bling all over my force. So, what do you think? Grimm Blade
I would try to keep the bling to a minimum, and would avoid using the winged blood drop stuff altogether. Yes the FTs hate bling, but it is your army so do what you want and maybe think up some fluff to back it :D GB
Whitefireinferno
Yeah Grimm Blade has said it all we care not for bling hanging off our armour as its just something to get in the way or used against us in battle, The only thing that would really be tolerated would be Weapons IMO but yeah its your army so go nuts. SamaNagol
Personally, I would say that the Flesh Tearers, being a second founding chapter, would have access to many artefacts and ornate armour and weaponry. However due to their crusader like mentality, I envision them as not giving themselves a moments respite between engagements to repair non-essential things like oramentation and paint jobs. As long as it still functions properly that's good enough. Remember how short staffed they are, so they do not have as many Techmarines and Tech-adepts to work on repairs and upgrades, so essential work comes first. That being said I would say that rank and file marines should be very spartan and plain, with lots of wear and tear. More senior ranking models would carry decorations and badges of office, but would also be very battle worn. Lots of dirt, grit, chipping and even a bit of blood wouldn't go amiss.
