The_Crippster
It's announced for August, new minis revealed in July. Who's stoked? "In August, the immortal legions of the Ruinous Powers - the Chaos Daemons - will pour forth once more from the Realm of Chaos to drown the Warhammer world and the galaxy of the 41st Millennium beneath a tide of blood and destruction. Even now, mystics are assailed by nightmarish visions of horror and death, the fractured minds of madmen echo with sibilant whispers, and the doomed clutch symbols of their weak gods closer to them. A host of incredible new Citadel miniatures for both Warhammer 40,000 Chaos Daemons armies and Warhammer Daemons of Chaos armies will soon be released upon mortal battlefields. All will be revealed in July here on the Games Workshop website and in August's issue of White Dwarf magazine, so keep an eye out for more information." Locmac
Ugh! I was just about to start this topic myself, but you must type faster....Back to the point; I'm stoked! I'm hoping for plastic DP and plaguebearers and horrors in plastic and then some models for heralds...Oh the dark gods of GW are already temping my wallet.... Retalitus
Fantastic news! Really hoping for new plastic Horrors and Plaguebearers myself, as well as the long-awaited plastic Daemon Prince model which has been sooo long in being released! Personally, I'm also hoping for Fiends and Flamers to be made available as plastic kits, particularly the former. The current models are seriously ugly, and so damn expensive! lewiss111
i hope they revamp some of the old classic models which need updating i.e keeper of secrets, seekers. i also wouldn't mind if they actually made some plastic kits! <_< Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/201584-aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah-second-wave/#findComment-2401708 Share on other sites

I would finally get to start my GK army and expand my daemons even more at the same time... talk about breaking the bank! Iron-Daemon Forge
If I was a guess man I'd guess July - We know is WFB 8th Ed Aug - 8th Ed box game (40k done this w/5th Ed) & Daemons second wave (Plasitc Daemon Prince, fair few of the specil ch, possible some new plastic models but when I hear about this it was still up in the air, I rememeber the Steed of Slannesh being show that GDuk09) Sept - Grey Knights?? Oct - Some WFB release?? Nov - Dark Eldar Dec - No new codex/army book update due to it being Christmas & don't want the focuse taken away, as why we tend to see second waves or update past few year, instead of brand new codex/army book. That just at a guess. Then again my Spet & Oct guess can be swap & Dark Eldar push to the start of the year?? Retalitus
Damn, of course, how could I forget chariots?! As someone who is useless at painting, and enjoys the gaming more than the modeling, it would be fantastic to be able to get some fairly easy-to-assemble Chariots of Tzeentch and Slaneesh. Too much to hope for? Perhaps... So, does anyone reckon this release will come with a new codex? I don't think so myself, but I've heard talk... The_Crippster
Model wise I actually hope they don't release heralds. I LOVE seeing what people come up with. Of course models for the stuff they don't have at all (seekers, chariots) should be top priority, then plastic Horrors/PBs, then plastic Flamers, Screamers, and others. Not to forget the plastic Daemon Prince they've been teasing us with for about a year and a half. As for greater Daemons one can dream but I don't see them being updated as a likely option compared to the rest. After Daemons and GK's I'm actually hoping for 'crons before dark eldar... I know, haters gonna hate. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/201584-aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah-second-wave/#findComment-2403386 Share on other sites
Mr. Sandbot
well what do you know, that human sacrifice to Tzeentch payed off after all... In other news, finally! Horrors that are easier to assemble and don't completely defile my wallet! Twin .44
Did anyone else notice the big black dude all the way to the left here? Anyone got a clue as to where the crap that came from? Or am I just ignorant? And I hope this does tie in the a new GK release, get the Daemon hype up and then BAM!!! Epic games of ass-kickery at your local store every week! It's time for me to get a new job that pays me better because I've got too much to buy this year!!!!! Iron-Daemon Forge
So, does anyone reckon this release will come with a new codex? I don't think so myself, but I've heard talk... Second wave. Armies tend to be codex (Daemons in 2008) followed by a second wave (Orks & Space Marines are a exsample) IP Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/201584-aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah-second-wave/#findComment-2404109 Share on other sites
Muzza
Over on Warseer, Daemon Prince Adramalech who is a very reliable source has given a hint of what to expect (he always does this as a daemonic vision if you're not familar with his style): "The veil parts..... The mysts of the warp fall open and the mortal realm catches a glimpse of the tumultuous realm of the gods. The surface of a distant planet coalesces before you. A mighty vista streches into the distance, the sky is a multi coloured smudge that churns and roars silently like an ocean in the grip of a great and terrible maelstrom. As you take in the sight before you multi hewed creatures caper across your vision cackling endlessly as they shift and change in the edies of the Emperyian. Suddenly the Diciples of Destruction swiftly charge across the plain, reveling in the dismay and debauchery they inflict in the name of the Prince of Pleasure. The tounges of their mounts flick out nervously as they sense the approach of their daemonic nemesis'. The Foot of Khorne charge from the horizon, blood and molten metal left in their wake as they attack the lithe riders of the Prince of Pleasure in a terrible stampede. Both rider and mount clash in a never ending dance of death. As you look your point of view suddenly shifts, in the distance a mighty eddifice raises endlessly into the violent sky. On a balcony many Daemon Lords watch the ensuing combat, some wildy exhaulting their followers, others wisely taciturn and silent. In the shadows a shape moves, it's form seems to shift and warp as it flits around the balcony playing tricks on its daemonic cousins for its own amusement. You move up to the top of the tower, in a secluded chamber a mighty daemon lord stares endlessly into a crystal, muttering gibberish to itself. It's blind eyes seem unable to encompass it's own surroundings but as your vision begins to fade one of it's heads turns to look at you. As you see the creatures twisted visage you realise it has seen more than any other creature of it's kind, even it's patron deity knows not what sights have passed before its shattered from. It smiles at you......the veil closes your vision has ended." Some warseer people have interpreted this as the following to be released: Seekers Bloodcrusher The Changling Fateweaver Daemon Prince Pink Horrors Hope this helps everyone. Ail'Slath'Sleresh
Theres a bigger discussion going on in the News Thread of this very same thing. Fathoym
I suppose that's it's too early for anyone to know yet, but I hope that the seekers are in plastic. But, knowing how the rest of the Daemon line has tended to be, I imagine they'd be released as small metal boxes, like the hounds or bloodcrushers Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/201584-aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah-second-wave/#findComment-2405758 Share on other sites
Ail'Slath'Sleresh
I agree with Seahawk though those people hoping for it to happen I am totally with them also! The model is new but its no dreadnaught that can be posed easily in any other manner and would love to see the Juggernaught redone since the WHFB Warriors of Chaos got that really cool one right after ours was released (May 08 Daemons-Nov 08 Warriors) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/201584-aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah-second-wave/#findComment-2405774 Share on other sites
